It fits the current imagery of game covers, so I'll give it that.

Even though it's still Scorpion, at the very least, he looks immensely different than usual. It somewhat reminds me of Assassin's Creed.

Is it the final box art? I seriously doubt it. Looks like a placeholder to me.

I like simplicity, but it's too bland for my taste.

I'll admit I'm being picky, but Scorpion really is starting to get on my nerves seeing him so much. If this is indeed the final box art (Scorpion's mug), do you think we will receive different character covers?

I mean it won't happen for every character, but I would guess maybe 4 or 5. Sub-Zero, Raiden, Quan-Chi, Sonya for example.

I'm hoping they do what Tekken Tag 2 did and have reversible game covers.

Yeah. That was perfect; I put the Williams sisters as the cover so I don't have to look at those godawful Mishimas.

I dislike the Mishima-Kazama (i.e. Asuka and Jin, not Jun) characters due to them being little spotlight thieves.
Even when they introduced a seemingly different protagonist in 6 (Lars,) they couldn't let him go without making him Heihachi's bastard son, and tying that stupid anime robot sidekick, Alisa, to Jin. Plus, Jin (again) ended up being (sort of) the hero, while nearly every other character (besides Raven) was worthless or was off doing something entirely different.
Of the whole lot of them, the only one I sort of like is Heihachi, just because he tends to screw everyone else over for fun.

I did the same but only because I thought the red looked better than the blue. I hate Heihachi but like Jin.

Heihachi is based as fuck though.



I don't know what we're getting. As I'm seeing it the Scorpion art is just a placeholder until later down the road. If it is Scorpion, it's whatever to me.

I think I saw a tweet from Boon where he showed a cover of Scorpion and another one of Sub-Zero. (But the Sub-Zero one was just a well-done photoshop of the Scorpion one, but it's still possible).

Yeah I seen the Sub-Zero one. It was a fake, but really well done. If there's a Sub-Zero box cover, I want that bitch.

We never got the alternate covers in the UK for Deception and Armageddon probably for budgetary reasons which sucked! I would love to have different covers to choose from this time but I'd be happy with just a steelbook with awesome art all over it.

Heihachi is a dick though

I just don't want Scorpion on the cover. Is that too much to ask. He's on the damn logo for NRS. He was in injustice. He kicks Sub-Zero's ass in every trailer. He was made to look like the hero in legacy (even though legacy was shit). I'm just sick and tired of seeing his damn face plastered on everything MK.

Honest to god, I said I didn't want a full on Scorpion game. However, if it would solve Boon's hard on for him then go right ahead. Maybe then we wouldn't have to see his face plastered as much on everything.

I know it's bad with Sub-Zero too, but he's the one being made out to look like a bitch from the Scorpion overload.

The only thing more tiresome than the Scorpion barrage is the Sub Zero fan barrage complaining about the Scorpion barrage

I have a hard time imagining a bigger or more long-term Sub-Zero fan than me, but I don't mind at all that Scorpion's on the cover. He is the Fulgore and Ryu of MK. He is the franchise. All that matters is what's IN the game. Sell it however you need to.

I wish it could be like Deception where there were different versions of the covers with different characters. Like with the Xbox collector's edition you could choose from Scorpion, Raiden, Mileena & Baraka and the PS2 version offered Subby. I'm hoping they do something similar here but of course you will be allowed to choose which of the 5 or so character based covers they offer- no matter the system. I'd definitely get ANYONE over Subby or Scorp.

They should have had Scorpion be on the Xbox 360 and X1 boxes and have Sub-Zero be on the PS3 and PS4 boxes.

As much as I like the new Scorpion look, just him alone with a black background is kinda... Dull and boring. Oh well, still gonna get the game though #thatfuckinghypebro

I didn't like MK9 cover for being overly generic with Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but this...too simplistic. I'd prefer if there was just a game logo.

But whatever, it's not like I am gonna buy physical copy of this game.
