Almost four years ago we started providing the first rumors of this game. However the time is almost here- the release of Mortal Kombat 5, now known to all as Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Join us in our countdown on the top of this page signifying that Fatality Friday is only 22 days away! Hyper-realistic, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance features progressive physical damage that allows players to view the inevitable demise of their opponents while utilizing three unique fighting styles for each warrior, creating nearly unlimited fighting possibilities.

Adding to the punishing action in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is Arista Records' Adema, which has recorded a hard-driving, heavy, yet melodic, modern rock theme song titled "Immortal," done exclusively for this new Mortal Kombat videogame and featured as the lead track in the follow-up EP to its self-titled debut album. The album is in stores now. "Immortal" was made available on radio Oct. 14 while the music video for the track began airing on MTV2's Extreme Rock on the same date and is currently live on www.MTV.com.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance's DVD content will include the "Immortal" song and music video. Also featured in the DVD section is the history of Mortal Kombat and behind-the-scenes interviews with the game's development team.

The spot began airing Sept. 27 and will run through Nov. 21, and is expected to reach an estimated 18 million viewers.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance TV commercial
Midway.com has released a TV commercial for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. It is a mixture of the previously released cinematic spot and shots from the actual gameplay. The release date "Fatality Friday" is not included, so unless we see otherwise, this commercial will not appear on television until November 22nd.
