MK:DA Opening Cinematic Available from IGN!
IGN has come through again with a new video available only to IGN Insider members from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Unlike the previous videos, however, this one contains the opening cinematic from the game, where Quan Chi and Shang Tsung turn against Shao Kahn, and shows the events leading to their murder of the Earth champion, Liu Kang. Once again, due to copyright restrictions, we are not posting the video online. However, to read the article and download the video (if you're an IGN Insider member), click here.

Our thanks to forum/chat member Total-MK for bringing the video to our attention!

Can we say...................... FATALITY!
Gamespot Complete members should stop whatever they are doing and download the first video of a FATALITY performed by Johnny Cage! Details to come.
New Select Screen Image Available!
Planet GameCube, as part of their coverage of Nintendo's Cube Club Tour, has managed to snag the clearest shot so far of the select screen from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance! This image shows a select screen with two players ready to battle it out, with portraits of Johnny Cage and Bo Rai Cho! There are twenty one characters, with seven rows of three, but the bottom nine characters are greyed out, possibly not playable on the Cube Club Tour version.

On an unrelated note, we do apologize for all of the issues that have been occuring with the site slowdowns and the busy server error messages. We're down to our final option, and are in talks right now with our hosting provider, Hostrocket, to upgrade the hardware on the server the site sits on. We appreciate your patience as we try to correct these frustrating problems, and thank you for all of your support.

Three New MK:DA Movies at IGN!
IGN has updated their coverage of Thursday's Cube Club event in Los Angeles, with a brief report on Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. From the article:

The title, shown on one kiosk near the back of the spot, drew a good amount of gamers interested in the old-school fight mechanics and bloody, quick-thrill combos. It looked fairly solid, by our best estimates, with detailed characters, crisp texture work, fluid fighter animations, vivid particle effects and more, all of which ran smoothly at 60 frames per second.
The article also includes three videos only available to IGN Insider members. These include in-fight scenes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Once again, for copyright reasons, we are not posting the movies on the site, but if you're an IGN Insider member they can be reached through the article!

Our thanks to Sutaz and Mkscorpion33 for the heads-up!
