Philadelphia Inquirer features Adema in MK: Deadly Alliance
The rock group Adema, who will be supplying the new track "Immortal" exclusively for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, made headlines today in the Sunday edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer with a cover story in the Arts & Entertainment section of the paper. The article explains recent trends of gaming companies mixing today's popular music into their titles. Here is a snippet:

Adema is part of the growing wave of contemporary pop musicians creating original music for video games, a tradition whose earlier composers-for-hire include David Bowie, Trent Reznor, Rob Zombie, and Mark Mothersbaugh. And with artists as diverse as Ja Rule, Sum 41, NoFX, No Doubt, Jurassic 5, Ozzy Osbourne, Rage Against the Machine, P.O.D., Hoobastank and Britney Spears now turning up on games in some form, even the Grammy Awards' soundtrack categories have been expanded to include game music, though none has yet been nominated.

Official Deadly Alliance Site Update
The Official MK: Deadly Alliance Website has updated to include 2 new bios: Scorpion and Sub-Zero.  It mentions that the Lin Kuei clan has been rebuilt, and it also briefs us on Scorpion's motives for fighting.  Very interesting! Click the link to check out the update.

Thanks to board member Skorpion for the notice.

Immortal E3 Performance Now Up on Midway Website!
The veil of mystery surrounding Adema's new song for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has been lifted. Midway Games now has a video of Adema performing "Immortal" at E3 available for download! The movie weighs in at 2.9 MB, so you may wish to save the file to your hard drive by right-clicking on the link, and choosing "Save File As"...

Our thanks to forum and chat member STEROLIZER, who let us in on the big story!

Third Fight Video Available: Quan Chi vs. Shang Tsung!
Our third (and final) match for you from the show floor of E3 features the Deadly Alliance itself, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung! Though this video is shorter than the other two, we still recommend that you download the movie to your hard drive by right-clicking on the link and choosing "Save Target As..."

In addition, while filming the matches at E3, ]{0MBAT managed to get video of the advertisement Midway was showing on their big screen. (This is the same big screen shown in the background of Adema's concert.) This particular ad features a FMV matchup between Quan Chi and Scorpion. To see this trailer, click here.

This will wrap it up for MK5.ORG's coverage of E3 this year. On behalf of ]{0MBAT and the other staff members of MK5.ORG, I'd like to thank you all for your support during this, our first year of E3 coverage. We truly do appreciate it.

Second Fight Video Available: Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero!
Our second match-up, straight from the show floor of E3, is the age-old favorite: Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero! Once again, this is a large file, so you may wish to consider downloading it to your hard drive and running it from there instead of attempting to stream it from our servers. :)

To see the video of the match, click here.

Stay tuned, as ]{0MBAT has two more videos to present, including one more in-game matchup!
