Lambert and Williams return in Mortal Kombat 3.
How's this for daily updates? According to Lynn Red William's website he will be a recurring character in Mortal Kombat 3: The Movie . His website also mentions to look for the return of Christopher Lambert as "Rayden". Just hearing that gives me enough faith that MK3 could be a killer blockbuster! Apparently this update to his site was made all the way back in August. The website also mentions we will see an end to a key character. Kinda brings back bad memories of Johnny Cage dieing right from the start of Mortal Kombat Annihilation.
Who is Tassia?
Together with PlanetMK.com we have done further investigation on recent Midway trademarks. We have found an interesting piece of information we'd like to share. On December 18, 2001(shorty before Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was registered) Midway "published for opposition" the trademark "Tassia". This means that Midway's application has been received but not yet accepted. Unless someone disagrees with the application (i.e. - opposed by a third party) it will be accepted in 30 days. Yesterday, that 30 day period expired.. Could this be the name of a new female combatant in Mortal Kombat 5? We are not sure, but anything's possible. There is no reply from our sources at Midway to this moment.

Update: There was a female boss with the name of Tasia in MK Special Forces. However her name has one "s".  After a quick look in our transcript of a chat with Ed Boon held back on August 25th, 1999 a question was asked if Black Dragon Members would return in Mortal Kombat 5. Ed replied- "VERY good chance of that !! " Also John Vogel, if you remember, mentioned how they wanted a female ninja in a video interview held at MortalKombat.com.Tasia

New Deadly Alliance web domains.
Just in case you had any doubt of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance being the title for the fifth upcoming Mortal Kombat installment, let us put those to rest. On December 17th, 2001 Midway Games registered the domains http://www.mortalkombatdeadlyalliance.com and http://www.mkdeadlyalliance.com . Well.. there you have it!
Midway to issue Announcement on next Mortal Kombat.
After contacting our sources at Midway about Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance,  we have been told they will be shortly releasing an announcement of some kind. If you haven't already signed up for Midway's MK Breaking News Sign-up form, now might be a good time :-) Almost all signs point to this being the title for the next Mortal Kombat installment. Midway copyrighted the Deadly Alliance trademark just one day after the release of the new Quan Chi Pic.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
If this won't get the MK enthusiasts going crazy nothing will! On December 21, 2001 Midway Games registered the trademark - Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Could this be the title for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 5? Seems like a good chance. Check out the U.S. Trademark Electronic Search System and type in "Mortal Kombat" to see for yourself. We are still awaiting official word from Midway about this matter and will update as soon as we gain more information. Thanks to Planet MK for the heads up.
