The Deadly Alliance official site has posted two pieces of artwork that also appear in the April issue of Game Informer. They are of returning characters Kitana and Rayden. We are kind of disappointed they haven't released the artwork of the other new characters mentioned in the previous update. Come on Midway, how about it?
We
have received scans of all 8 pages of the
April
Game Informer
Deadly Alliance cover story. Here
are some of the new characters:
Blind Kenshi - Looks like a ninja. He is mask less with a red bandana around his eyes.
Malvado - Kind of reminds me of Max Payne. He is wearing a coat of some sort.
Drahmin - This guy appears to be African wearing some sort of tribal mask.
There is also sketches and in-game shots of many of the characters. The total count of playable characters in MK: Deadly Alliance will be around 20-24.
The cover story talks in depth about the new multiple move set feature which allows your fighter to choose different fighting styles which can add up to some killer combos. They also show some of the new weapons. We must say, the in-game shots are amazing!
Due to an agreement with Game Informer we are not allowed to post scans of the magazine.
The Deadly Alliance official site has released a director's cut of the Scorpion Trailer. This version of the movie is pretty much like the original except instead of a promo at the beginning we get to see more of Scorpion dishing out his moves as well as some different music. Though not much else is changed, it is still a nice lil' treat worth downloading. Thanks goes to all of you who emailed us.
On a side note, I would like to thank all of you for your continued patience as we upgrade to our new host! It's a pain staking process but we assure you we will be open again soon in all of our kombative glory!
Due to heavy traffic the Deadly Alliance official site was forced to pull their 640X480 version of the MK: Deadly Alliance Trailer. However C|NET Download and Gamespot are offering their own with a free 21.4 MB version in QuickTime format for the next two weeks. You don't want to miss out on this one!
New images and artwork have just been released on the official site. The images are of three new stages in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Make sure to take a look at the one labeled Kuatan Palace. Could Goro be making another appearance in this fifth installment? Also the official site has art work from a statue in the Acid Bath arena.
