The Official Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance Website has updated tonight with downloadable versions of the recently released trailer of Scorpion. It is available in various different file types including two QuickTime versions. Be warned that the QuickTime versions are huge so dial-up users might want to download the .mpg instead. Thanks to our friend John Overlie for the heads up.
Update 5/07/02: The official site has removed the high-res versions, but are now available at C|Net Download for a limited time.
Completely redesigned multiple-move-set fighting system. Each character will have several "move-sets" that players can selectively change during a match.
Extremely realistic fighting effects. Ripped clothing, bruises, sweat dripping, blood dripping and running down bodies
New and old favorite characters. Scorpion, Subzero, Raiden, Jax, Sonya, Reptile, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi and more. Plus new characters to be announced.
Special Attacks. Each character will have several special attacks to utilize during battles.
Full 3-D Movement!
Now for the fun stuff! The official site also
contains nine wallpapers for your
desktop's pleasure as well as a cool
screensaver. Other features to come
include a message board and also a video.
Maybe
Midway could release a QuickTime version
of that Scorpion trailer? Also another feature
is a list of fan sites which
includes yours truly right on top.
Update: There is a recently discovered secret on the MK:DA website. If you go to the Downloads section of the site, there's a "Y" on the far right. If you can click the area around it, it'll take you to where you can download one of three
AIM buddy icons.
As
part of it's "Fatality Fridays",
GameSpot has released the first trailer of
Mortal
Kombat: Deadly Alliance to the public.
The trailer shows Scorpion showing off his moves
and skills with great animation in an arena that
was previously shown in
this picture. The arena has very nice
illuminations and lighting effects. What bothers
us is his somewhat blocky model and the
unconvincing proportions of his body. We do hope
his in-game model will improve. Head over to GameSpot now for streaming versions of the trailer along with eight screenshots. |
