Watch: Liu Kang Brings Kung Fu to a Gun Fight
Mortal Kombat sketch questions the laws of Mortal Kombat!

Martial arts mysticism and sorcerery may be at the heart of what makes Mortal Kombat great -- but that hasn't stopped fans and filmmakers wondering what it would be like if MK adhered to rules of reality.

Beat Down Boogie takes this tact, poking fun at the age old dilemma of bringing kung fu to a gun fight. Watch the clip embedded below:

Stryker wasn't well loved by arcade era fans, but he's finally got the upper hand in the comedy clip. You might expect Liu Kang to toss a fireball once the street cop surrenders his gun, but there's more ammunition in his arsenal than the Shaolin Monk knows.

It isn't exactly the freshest take on lampooning Mortal Kombat and its obscure tournament rules, but you've got to appreciate the authenticity of their characters. A behind the scenes video shows you how it all came together. Click the link to watch it embedded above.

1:4 Scale Mortal Kombat X Quan Chi Statue
Spotlight: Pop Culture Shock Collectibles !:4 Scale MKX Quan Chi!

It's easy to be a fan of Pop Culture Shock Collectibles and their high-end wares. With Mortal Kombat X, the statue-maker upped their game, recreating the newest designs with new layers of detail! One of their best was undoubtedly Quan Chi - the 1:4 scale statue released in three flavours!

Announced during a busy time in September 2015, Quan Chi was one of the pre-order announcements that shamefully slipped through the cracks of reporting. We nevertheless must admire the quality of work, which you may now find available at good collectibles stores!

The standard Quan Chi statue retails at a recommended $420, but as with all collectible merchandising, rarity may provoke changes in the market. The basic retail version was limited to 500 pieces, with a 250 piece "Dark Curse" variant offering alternate arms wielding the severed head of Moloch, and an attachable "Mind Game" sword. Both come in "Warlock" green.

Our favourite version is probably the ultra-rare PCS exclusive Sorcerer edition. Standing at 16", it features the same fatality and intro inspired alternate arms as the Dark Curse version. It simply switches things up, reflecting the purple palette of this in-game fighting style! Take a closer look by enlarging images featured above!

Many of Quan Chi's greatest allies and enemies have been carved in stone! The line includes: Klassic Raiden, Klassic Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Baraka, Shao Kahn, Kotal Kahn and more!

1:3 Scale Mortal Kombat X Goro Statue Looms Large
Pop Culture Shock's Massive Goro Statue has Four Arms of Terror!

Pop Culture Shock Collectibles have been making high-end Mortal Kombat statues since 2011, setting the definitive standard for quality MK merchandise during that time. Their highlights have rarely been rivaled, yet somehow they continue to find new ways to make us gasp in awe. That was the initial reaction to the press release for their latest announcement: 1:3 Scale Prince Goro!

According to the statue makers themselves, their 1:4 scale Klassic Goro was an instant sellout -- exhausting pre-order availability in a matter of minutes!

It was a fantastic piece, but when it came to offering a new version of the character, they evidently brought their A-game! Pop Culture Shock President Jerry Macaluso boasts, "... we knew if we were ever going to top [Klassic Goro], we had to pull out all the stops. This is not just another Goro. This is The Goro.

Standing at an imposing 35" (89cm), the newest addition to PCS' 1:3 scale statue giants is one of the most fitting! They've employed a range of techniques to recreate his Mortal Kombat X design to perfection: realistic ponytail hair, flocked fur bracers, bejewled necklace, leather loincloth, and LED torches on a bone laden base inspired by Goro's Lair [pictured below]!

1:3 scale Goro will be a Pop Culture Shock Exclusive, available at an incredibly limited 150 pieces for $1399.99. Pre-order begins Monday, February 27th, and if past examples are anything to go by, you'll want to teleport stomp your way to as fast as you can!

Poison Ivy is Pamela Isley, a mutated scientist with command over deadly plants, vines, and toxins! She's best known for bedeviling Batman and the citizens of Gotham City, but her feminine wiles were recruited to the side of good in the Injustice comic, hand-picked to counteract yesterdays Regime reveal: Swamp Thing!

Catwoman needs little or no introduction. Having appeared in Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe and Injustice: Gods Among Us, she's no stranger to NetherRealm Studios fighting games. Updated Injustice 2 Character Art & Bios
Take a closer look at Black Canary, Bane, Poison Ivy, Brainiac & Robin!

Along with the trailer reveal for Black Canary, NetherRealm Studios have updated Injustice 2 character art and bios. Brainiac, Robin, Bane and Poison Ivy aren't giving away all their secrets just yet, but detailed character renders give a great impression of what the DC heroes and villains will look like!

Injustice 2 Brainiac Character Art

Brainiac
"Such folly and futility in the grand design."

Brainiac is a megalomaniacal genius who roams the universe, collecting knowledge to increase his intellectual and scientific prowess. Obsessed with establishing his superiority, Brainiac captured Krypton’s greatest cities, then eradicated what remained…or so he thought. Tales of the “Last Son of Krypton” have reached far into the stars. Now, the Collector of Worlds comes to Earth to finish his accumulation of Krypton -- and discovers a new world worthy of his collection.

Injustice 2 Black Canary Character Art

Black Canary
"I couldn't be there to finish the fight against Superman. I'm damn sure finishing this one."

Dinah Lance nearly sacrificed everything in her fight against the Regime but was forced to flee, before the fight was done. Now, with Batman restoring order, Black Canary has returned home to set things right, vowing to never again silence her canary’s cry.

Robin
"I'm your only son, old man."

Raised from birth by the League of Assassins, Damian Wayne has always struggled with Batman’s non-lethal code of honor. Now in direct opposition with his father, Damian seeks a new mentor in Superman -- whom he considers to be more of a father than Batman ever was.
Bane
"Hate is the perennial motivator."

After Superman’s defeat, Bane was betrayed by the Regime and relentlessly pursued by Batman. Having already spent most of his life in prison, he his determined to take revenge against his former Regime masters and turn Gotham into a city where his rule is law.
Poison Ivy
"I have no more friends, all I have is the Green."

Dr. Pamela Isley was once an innovative, radical botanical biochemist with a singular goal: make the world safe for plant life to flourish. She joins the Society to further their common interest in bringing mankind to its knees, but at heart, Ivy’s desire is to ensure that in any new world order, flora dominates fauna.
