Mortal Kombat Online has espoused the importance of comics to Mortal Kombat for quite some time - all the while knowing there may just be something in the pipeline. The long wait finally ends with DC Comics announcing a brand new Mortal Kombat X series at this weekend's New York Comic Con!

We first learned of a change in action figure licensing back at July's San Diego Comic Con, where Mezco Toyz teased their pending 2015 merchandise [full story]. Three months later - the toy makers are showing off their initial designs at New York Comic Con!

Classification looms large over the 2015 DE release of Mortal Kombat X, but that hasn't stopped Germany delivering major European coverage. Gamescom 2014 delivered interesting new details, after Kano made his first confirmed sighting in den Seiten der deutschen GamePro. Last week GameStar kept the good times coming with a rash of new screenshots featuring: Raiden, Sub-Zero, Ferra/Torr, D'Vorah & more!

They adorned the convention halls of the 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo -- now the battle weathered images of Scorpion can be scrutinized in greater detail!

Mortal Kombat X was one of the star attractions of this year's E3 and we've been treated to some terrific coverage because of it! Gamespot got more than their pound of flesh with a live Day 3 stage demo, interview with John Edwards and these complete match videos that show off the E3 build!

Mortal Kombat X has invaded E3 and its done it with three all new playable characters leading the charge! You saw them introduced during the Sony Press Conference, and learned more during a PlayStation Live Cast demo hosted by Ed Boon! The 1 minute 57 second clip is all CG fury, featuring no actual gameplay, but littered with allusions to past and present playstyles that we're very interested in! It wasn't the all-out reveal of the last game, which gave us much more in its first outing. In the scheme of things, that might mean the most decisive step forward from the last decade of Mortal Kombat!
