I like MKT too but they didnt invest on it alot. They just putted all the characters in it and thats it. The fatalities were ok nothing special. They didnt put a "friendship" to MK1 Kano. They didnt put all the fatalities to MK2 Kung Lao and MK2 Jax. They made the screen go black when you preform Classic Sub-Zero fatality, because they didnt make animations for all the characters( head rip). They didnt make Pit II fatality for trilogy because they didnt make animations for the characters like MK2. thats all i gotta say.

My biggest gripe was the fact that it just seemed like it was rushed...they didnt take the time to like deadly_dragon said to finish everything...that and the black out for Sub-Zero was kinda rediculous...but it was a good game everything was together i mean, what was it like 26-27 some odd characters? anyway ill shut up now, but the last thing that made it suck was that they changed the Pit and i think Pit 2 and the Courtyard... i mean, why not just use the originals...now i know why they didnt use the original Courtyard...but...well i cant think of anything else...

Well said Taker. The N64 version of Trilogy was such a let down. I prefer UMK 3 but trilogy on PSX, classic hits version is probably the closest you'll get to UMK 3 on the PSX. I know I played the heck out of it when it just came out.

Preliminary selection screen shot for the Mugen Super MKT game with bonus characters. We are going to add in some others as well, Tanya, Shinnok, anyone else these dedicated sprite editors are willing to make. We have Reiko who is about 90% complete, Judge Dredd from a terrible Midway game, but makes for a neat character. We still have to change some select screen shots, but eventually you'll be able to play as a UMK3 style version of every single character from ever 2D fighter, and most fighters from MK4 as well. It's going to be Mortal Kombat Quadrilogy. Unfortunately at this time netplay isn't possible, however I know there are people working on it for open mugen, so once that is done the game would have to be ported to that, and it would eventually have netplay.
The goal here is to make the game as accurate and complete as possible, with every stage and music from every game, all characters having an assload of fatalities, as many different voices for characters as possible, custom stages, etc, and then we'll work on killer AI for it. Right now we still aren't even done with the basic fighting engine, which I will not deem acceptable until it plays like UMK3. After that we'll edit combos and special moves, balance stuff out better. Once the basics are complete and collision boxes are accurate we can start working on the extra stuff.
In any event, when this game is done, I will probably then make a basic version without all the extra stuff that is what MKT should have been, with the existing characters that were originally in the game.

Whoa, this is something I've always wanted Shock. I can't wait for it. BTW who is that to the left of Johnny Cage?
I have a MK3 style Darrius sprite I did, if you want to use him. We can work on any extra frames that are needed.
I also liked MKT because of all the new chars that weren't in UMK3, even though people say ones like Noob and Rain are broken. I think that's a major reason a lot of people didn't like the game, because of those two characters. I also loved being able to play on all the stages.

The character left to Johnny is Judge Dredd( a character from one of midway games). It will be appreciated if you will make a sheet of darrius.

The thing I didn't like about Trilogy was the lack of real story and MK3's annoying combat system. I hate the fact that you can beat anyone by either sitting still and upercutting them when they came close or by running at them and pressing low punch, which flips them, and you can do it over and over so that they never get up. Besides that, I think it's pretty awesome, and this new MKT sounds awesome, too.

Actually if someone is winning by just uppercutting the people they play are terrible, sorry to say. If someone sits and uppercuts against me, I usually run in, block on the last frame before the uppercut and then attack. It's pretty easy.
Low Punch throws them. If they hold away they cannot be thrown. Again, that tactic only works on people that are terrible.

the only "complete" version of mkt was the ps1, saturn, and pc versions. the n64 had a couple of extra stuff that really didnt matter like codes and stages but it didnt have all the fighters. the gameplay was also very broken. and just like most have already said, all of them technically wasnt complete but still fun to play if u cant play arcade umk3.

i thought mkt on the ps1looked not very real looking just look at the brutilaties compared to n64 verson. the ps1 verson had to many bones. there was to much blood too.

PSX MKT had better quality graphics and audio and the gameplay was tight. N64 had very sloppy graphics and equally slopping gameplay. That's why its so much easier to get ridiculous combos for N64, everyone floats in the air longer, the hit boxes are screwed up, the controls and blah.
Also the fact that N64 was missing so many characters was just a huge let down.

PSX version was very cool, but supposedly kahn and motaro had finishers in MKT on N64, this is probably aload of lies, but anyway, yeah PSX MKT was one hell of a game and my PS2 sucks for breaking it, one thing was missing tho... (scorps also had a "gang beating" finisher on the n64 as a 3rd one, u get dragged to hell, and lots of him appears, then they all run at u and screen fades as u get beated into a pile of sh*t basically)
