Beating MK2 Shao Kahn on MAT2

Any tips on beating him? I can only beat him with Baraka. It would be helpful if you all give me some tips. If MK2 had the run button, it would've been so much easier. I would also like to hear tips on beating Kintaro and Shang Tsung. I'm tired of fighting them 20 times just to win once.

If you have a guy like Sub or Scorp its fairly easy. Just keeping jumping over him doing turn-around jumpkicks in succession. He'll most likely block 5-15 of the kicks then taunt you. Freeze, spear (etc) his ass when he taunts then follow up as needed. Don't forget the tick damage you caused him from all of the turn-around kicks that he blocked. Or use Kitana's standard combo as he walks into the fan lift. He'll go down fast.
You can use that stategy for anyone but for Sub and Scop its nice since they can stun move him and follow up. You could substitue and use Liu's flying kick or Raiden's superman durin the taunts as well.

I don't have a decent stategy for Tsung cuz he gives me problems, but I usually use Kintana on him and do the fan lift + jumping punch + fan throw + uppercut combo. That will end him in no time if you can land the fan lift.. As for Kintaro, once again, I'll take my boys Sub or Scorp and use their stun moves. Hell, I'll even use Kitana and use her standard jump punch + fan throw combo. Add the uppercut to that if I'm lucky enought to have him in the corner. Kintaro's vulnerable when he's jumping around and when he does his standing taunt obviously.
The idea is (for me anyways) to keep jumping back and kicking, the majority of the match to keep your distance. He will either do a fireball, jump across the screen, or do his jumping stomp. If he does his horizontal screen jump, stun move him and follow up as needed. If he does his jumping stomp, you can jump kick him out of the air if you time it right, meaning that as you are constantly jumping back, he will do the stomp a lot. As he comes down, and you're at the top of your jump (moving backwards) throw the kick out. He'll land on your leg and it'll count as a hit. (this is where constantly jumping back and kicking takes its cue) Most of the time, you'll kick him out of the air. If he lands the stomp, half the time he'll do his taunt when he jumps off of you. Stun his ass as soon as you get up. If you have Kitana, he will just walk into the fan lift a lot of times. Get his ass with her standard combo.
Play defensively with him as offense doesn't work. You need to react to his moves. Another thing, if he corners you're ass, jump over and do a turn-around kick to get out and create distance (though this can be dangerous as a third of the time he will either uppercut you or catch you in the air and throw you).

mk2 shao kahn and kintaro is easy with any character. for kintaro u can jump kick him with anybody. when u jump towards him wait til u about to land and do the jump kick, keep jumping towards him with it because most of the time he'll just take it. and if he stumps u can do a standing jump kick to knock him out of it, back jump kicking dont have to be done all the time. as for shao kahn, u can stand there and do lk and hk pretty much the whole match and he'll walk into it (kitana and mileena has a longer recovery time if he blocks or if u use shang tsung, kitana, mileena, jax, or baraka u can jump kick him til he dont block (as soon as u jump towards him press one of the kick buttons, he should block it, if so repeat process). if u got liu kang or kung lao u can be in the corner and keep jumping back into the corner using the jump kick. liu kang can also keep using his low fireball to get him because most of the time shao kahn will shoot his spear. when u learn their patterns they are incredibly easy. if i knew how to record that and put it on here i would show u.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help.
Here's tips for everyone. I'll start with universal tips. When fighting Kahn in MKII on any system, do jump in kicks (Up + Forwards + Any Kick). He'll always block them, and soon he'll be defeated. Here are some tips for everyone individually.
Liu Kang=Keep doing Low Fireballs
Kung Lao=Jump in with Low Kick and immidiately do the Spin Shield
Johnny Cage="See Universal Tips Above" Only way I've found so far
Reptile=Do jump kicks followed by a lot of acid spits
Sub-Zero=Do jump kicks, and Power Slides
Kitana=Catch him in the Fan Lift, and throw fans into him
JAX=Catch him with the Gotchya Punches I can beat him with those
Shang Tsung=3 Fireballs, Morph Into Kitana and do her stragety
Mileena=Jump kick, Sia Shot etc.
Baraka=Time it right to catch him with the Blade Fury
Raiden=Keep doing the Torpeedo
Scorpion=Jump kicks, and try to catch him with a spear
Those are some tips that I've used to beat Kahn with. He seems hardest in MKII than in any other MK sequel after that.

Easy Shao Khan pattern, I have done this with EVERY character on the final revision of the arcade:
Start the match by jumping back 3 times; this should put your back to the wall. Now just crouch and block. Wait for his Shoulder Charge... block it, then uppercut. Repeat until he dies.
