Do anybody agree that UMK3 and MK4(particularly for the endings and the intro) are the 2 MK games with the best music?
I think that music was a weak point in MKDA that should be fix for MKD.

I would have to say hands down that MK3/UMK3/MKT had the best music. I love MK3's tech/rock , gothic, churchy music that it has in it!!! I hope MK6 has the same. the only thing I can say that I really didnt like in MK: DA that the music wasn't as good as past MK's. I hope they hope the MK team fixes for MK6 is have better music. I hope they go the MK3 route when it comes to music

The hell-stage in MKDA had the best bg music in MKDA imo (very dark and Dan Forden style). Quan Chi (energetic) and Shang Tsung (seductive, relaxed) stage music were also very good.
The other tracks just weren't that funky/dark (bit boring actually).
But i agree that MK3 had the best tracks (I liked "the Rooftop". MK2 Arena stage was good too).

MK2 and MK3/UMK3 pwned the rest. Yes that's right, PWNED, P-W-N-E-D. Pay attention so I don't have to yell.

I liked MK1 music the best for some reason. The Select Screen music gets you ready for a fight.MK2 had excellent music too.I loved Kahn's Arena music.MK4's music was alright it was one of those games where you had to be in a good mood to play.

I'm totally with DrFatality and CMETH.
Church music kicked ass, so did the forest and the all original MK1.
For my person thought, I love the Wasteland/Pit II theme. It's scary, windy, ghostly, etc.
The Tower is another rock hit. New age sky music is incredible with a twist of chinese.

I agree, UMK3 and MK4 had the best music in the series as well as MKII. I actually thought that the music in DA was pretty good.

Anyone ever see the early pilots for South Park? There's a Jesus vs Frosty version and a Jesus vs Santa version. Anyway, one of those pilots (I forget which) uses the subway music from MK3 for the fight scene (you were probably wondering where I was going with this).
MK3 has gotta be my favorite, but MKII is very close. The themes for the Tower and the Living Forest really can't be touched. In 3 I love the music in the Church, Pit 3/Motaro's Lair, and Bridge the best.
One little detail that bugged me in MKT was how they took out the music that briefly plays at the end of the fight. Like in MK3 you you win a match, and then Shao Khan says "___ Wins" a brief little musical cue would play... in MKT, it's just silence at the end of the round. Play both and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I am a big fan of The Soul Chamber and The Pit 3's themes.
But yeah MK3 had the best, most listenable music. All of the games have cool music overall, smart music guy.
