after 2,3 forget the d+3 cuz its not safe and like u said 2,3,3,2 can be interrupted. the best thing to do after 2,3 hits is either d+4, 2,3 again, 3,2(if not playing vs a fast jabber), or branch. remember that in MKDA u dont need mid moves to use as a mixup for high and low cuz high hits hit them in transition from high to low block.
