the cyber ninjas. still, i love them anyway. boba fett meets predator in the mk universe. sweet luvvins it is. still, they don't fit. and yeah, nightwolf was a clownshoe. why are they bringing him back?

As for characters that don't fit, I couldn't name any. Mortal Kombat was never about being realistic or believable. Because of that, everything seems to work: half-human/half-dragons, cybernetic ninjas, vampires, gods, clones (Mileena), dead warriors (Scorp), monks, ninjas, half-human/half-horse creatures, movie stars, a race of human-like reptiles, whatever the hell Baraka's race is, ect.

Cybernetic ninjas and vampires are just as believeable as anything else in the game.

yes, but the lin kui turning their ninjas into cybernetic ninjas just deosnt seem right. Clans were supposed to be hounarable and sacred. Along time ago ninjas didnt beleive in cheating, or making them stronger using artificial divises, and the lin kiu IMO wouldnt do something like that. deosnt make sence to me.

I think that was the point. The Lin Kuei became corrupt and obsessed with power. That's why Sub-Zero left the clan and, in time, returned to reform the Lin Kuei to its former glory. It makes sense to me.

Stryker, Nightwolf, Nitara, and Hsu Hao.

Mavado: Should have put Kabal in MK:DA
Kenshi: I just hate his special attacks are a rip on Ermac, his combos are weak, I simply don't get why anyone likes him, not to mention he has the same sword moves as Scorpion.
Jade: Putting her in MKT was cool but she never impressed me.

Nigtwolf seems out of place, but I can kind of see him in it because he has the whole magic shamen thing.
And Nitara seems out of place because you see her and you think "There are vampires in it now?"

But the only characters who I don't think fit in at all are Stryker and Hsu Hao. A normal human cop who fighting magic demons from other dimensions? And Hsu Hao, I don't know, he just seemed like he didn't belong.

some of the humans dont seem to fit-jax, sonya, stryker, some others. Its not that i dont like them, but come on...are these the best warriors mortals have to offer. Are they really the ppl we want protecting our relm???

Excuse me, but Stryker fitted in perfectly. What was MK3 about? Oh yeah, the merging of two realms! Stryker was sort of your average Joe, the guy that didn't exactly want to get caught up in all the shit in the first place. Yet, he had no choice.
How does he NOT fit?!

Nightwolf, Reptile (MK4 & MKDA version), all the new characters in MK4 except Quan Shi, Li Mei, Stryker, Mavado, Kenshi, Mokap, Blaze, Bo' Rai Cho and Hsu Hao.

The only new character in MK4 that has made an appearance since (pending the announcement of the rest of the cast in MK: Deception of course) has been Quan Chi. Hmmm...

Aside from that, most of the other characters fit well. Even Stryker had his place, as was stated previously by someone (I don't feel like looking to see who). Nightwolf was a great character and has a very MK feel. typical Indian fighter, yet very unique in many ways. The Cyber Lin Kuei (NOT NINJAS!) tied in perfectly to the MK3 storyline, and acted as a bit of a flood break to the rush of Ninja and Lin Kuei palatte swaps in the Klassics.
