Shao Kahn never died yo. Pretty good chance that we will see him again in MK7 in one form or another.

To me it is good if he stay dead forever.

Kahn was good, of course, but we need new menaces to Mortal Kombat games.

New bosses mean new history. If Kahn is back, i believe he will try to take over the Earthrealm through MK tournament again.

I like Onaga and his Kamidogus. Let Onaga live.

So in other words instead of one person trying to take over all the realms there is another? The only differenceis that onaga is more powerful. But personaly I like how Shao Kahn taunts his opponents.

Shao Kahn is by far the best end boss in ANY MK game to date... all these "new" end guys suck, all these monsters dont feel anything like MK at all .... but then again after the 2d mk games the series as a whole got worse, although mk deception is still pretty good to play. but im a old school 2d mk player... nothing will ever beat the classic 2d mk fighting games as far as im conserned.

u actually like the newer (3d) MK games better than old (2d) games? ... not me... overall i definately like the old 2d oldschool games better... there more fun to play... plus i used to play them when i was a teenager back in the 1995 area ;) ... my guess is all the younger kids of today will probably like the new mk's better cause of graphics etc... but gameplay wise i think the old ones are definately better overall.

i remember "back in the day" , i used to use a bicycle (me and my cousin) to go like 3-5 miles one way just to play with a few dollars on mk2 - mk3 and umk3 just to play for a little bit... sometimes we was so hard up to play mk3 we would get 25cents and go up town and hope like hell someone left a quarter in the machine so we could play... thats pretty deticated lol ... im 25 years old now but that was when i was like 15 years old or so and my cousin at the time was like 12-13 years old... nowadays i cant NEVER get as deticated to a game anymore... i just dont think it's possible... it's probably only something u can do as a teenager i guess lol ... those where the "good ol' days' :)

the new ones just play diferantly... overall there a slower paced game now :( ... there still decent fighting games ... cause like i said before MK series is the only fighting games i still like (with the exception of killer instinct 1) ... cause every other fighting game it feels like your just "jamming on buttons" which sucks :( lol

I was totally bummed when they killed shao kahn.Mk doesnt feel the same with the best end boss gone. I dont really like all the monster bosses.

I don't like Onaga, i like his story and place in Deception, but i don't like him in the game, i dont know how to explain that but hopefully you will understand. So in my opinion Shao Kahn has been the best so far. I also didn't like how Shang Tsung and Quan Chi was in DA. It seems like new stuff isnt as good, but think, if they keep bringing Kahn back, MK is gonna get old fast. Maybe for the next game, but after that, Midway is gonna have to think of better stuff.

Rebuilding the series wouldn't be such a bad idea anyway. MK keeps adding new people, but hanging on to old ones. This just causes people to like the older ones and completely dis the new ones. Lots of people say it isn't MK without people like Scorpion and Sub-Zero, ect., even I tend to say so myself, but if MK brought out a game with a fresh new lineup, it really wouldn't be so bad. Hell they are gonna have to do it someday or like I said above, the game is gonna die.

I like certain aspects of the new 3D games, not overall above the old ones. Shao kahn should stay but not as a boss, but rather as a key figure and menace. I think it was a good choice to let an equaly powerfull clone of him die at the hands of his nemesis student Shang Tsung. Both had their choices. Shang turned out to be more powerfull than Kahn, and our Kahn outwitted the superbly intellligent sorcerer.

Other than that, whats wrong with the new monsters? Onaga looks good, but acts bad. Remember his sick roar? Moloch was also good, quite larger and more stronger than the two shokan, but lacked their abilities and nobility (at least Goro, Kintaro wasn't scary or powerfull looking, perhaps becouse he was more of a warrior than prince and competitor)

Give the new things some chance, they can get improvements.

Thank god someone agrees. The new games dont "feel" MK. They "feel" like any Cookie-Cutter fighter that comes out. they just suck. Thank god 4 the almighty bonus disk with MK1.

The only bosses that were giood IMO after MK1 was Shao Kahn, Shang-Quan as bosses (made very much sense) and Onaga (though he should have been made more "less sub-bossish")

I'm kind of pissed at the Gamecube version of MKD. Shao Kahn and Goro are not even in the acrade mode to fight against. It would kick ass if there was a special mode where Goro was the sub-boss and Shao Kahn at top with his own special boss attacks and a few more combos.

In Gamecube's version of Deception, Shao Kahn never died. The Shao Kahn in the intro movie to Deadly Alliance was a decoy made of magic. Shao Kahn was still recovering from his losses at the end of MK3 and created imposters to lead his enemies away from his true location.

honestly, mortal kombat lost the mk feeling after 4. when they started usin dragons n all that shit like that, it took mk 2 a place i think no1 really likes. back when it was khan, he was a person, not some monster that plans 2 take the world over. jus a guy who wanted earth, thats it.

n i think the reason no1 likes the new charachters is cuz they dont have the involvement as the old charachters. what the fuck does darrius gotta do with anything? or dairou? the old characters all tied in 2 eachother somehow, which made u care n wonder what happened 2 them. but really, who gives a fuck what happens 2 ashrah?

but then again, they are buildin a shitload on the old ppl....i personally hope raiden goes evil n becomes the boss of a game, that wood be a un-expected twist, but understandable, cuz he got tired of fuckin wit earth. but if all of a sudden mileena becomes the ruler of everything, it would ruin mk....not cuz its bad, but it wood have 2 make sense. a way it wood make sense wood be she starts workin 4 shang n them...plots 2 turn on them n kills them n takes....w/e it is that makes'em so great, thats understandable

basically, i think they shood start a new mk series, cuz these la8er games are really shitty story wise, or, keep the idea of shaolin monks, n do it 4 every mk, but be able 2 pick any1 n follow there story as it happens

It's cool that someone else enjoys the classic MK instead of the new. The original 2D fighters were the best. Plus nowadays people are finding things to discover ie. glitches.

He's one of my favorite gaming villains but I wish he had died in MK3 and stayed dead. He was perfect in II and 3 and even managed to take over the world for a short time. Being defeated in the final battle was a great send off. It kept him looking strong and legendary. His story was complete. Bringing him back in a weakened state has only hurt his legacy. The more he sticks around as a sidestory and not the main focus of the story the less special and important he seems.

i dont think thats real tho, cuz they only put kahn n goro in there cuz GC didnt have online, so they put them 2 in so it would have an extra appeal 2 the ppl who had GC (which is complete n utter bullshit i might add)
