When something better than UMK3 comes out, I'll let you all know, because it still hasn't happened yet.

better than paying $60 for it when itwas brand new, you got a good deal, games like that still go for $15 used, no book, case, nothing, at places like FuncoCrap.

I remember looking in a magazine for Toys R Us back in '94. They were advertising MKII for a whopping $79.99

Not too long ago I found a copy of MK2 for SNES in a local Radio Shack marked for $60. I guess they never looked at what they were selling so they didn't realize they had forgotten to mark it down for the previous 8 years.

Sounds like you got a deal.

There are pawn shops and some swap-meets down here that have them priced for Genesis and SNES for $2.50.

I think that was shortly before there was a lawsuit for cartridge prices, SNES games were always like $10 more than Genesis, and then there was a big stink about it and I think no Cartridge game could be over a certain amount. DreemerNJ probably remembers this.

Yeah that was the time of all the price fixing lawsuits. Nintendo was hit pretty hard by that. I don't think they put a dollar cap on the cart prices so much as they allowed stores to be competative in the pricing.

Interesting. I never heard anything about that. Does that apply today as well? That why you never see games above $50?

I want MK2 for Genesis, for nostalgia value. But I don't have a genesis/sega cd/sega cdx. Hard to find at these times.

I honestly don't know if it applies to today's prices, but I doubt it since the medium is different, there might be some kind of influence though, competition is high.
