Not to mention fatalities have nothing to do with gameplay and there were no harakiris.

However, technically you *are* cheating the system, but not a person you're playing against, unless of course they either take fatalities seriously, or look at fatalities from the same perspective as performing moves in game, in which case they have a serious psychological problem.

the tournaments organized by the MK australia site have a bit strange ranking system. indeed if you perform fatalities, you will gain more points. in that case, using one button fatality is definitely cheating.

Having one button fatalities kinda takes the reward out of performing it to finish your opponent off. So yeah it is sort of cheating - yourself?!

Does anyone actually do fatalities any more? Seen it, done it.....sleep

I turn them off now

I grew out of Fatalities; I used to finish people off with an uppercut...until deadly alliance that is. Anyway, to answer the question is it cheating? Yes. Does it matter...not really.
