Does anybody out there actually own a copy of MK2 for the playstation?? I've heard it exists, but I've never seen it or screens or known anyone who has it. If anyone has it, where'd you get it?

I've done some research:
PSX was unleashed in north america September 9. 1995. MKII was released June 1, 1992. I doubt a game would be made for a new system three years after its initial release. I do think MK3 was available for playstation, and its release was January 1, 1996.

It was never released anywhere. There was a prerelease version that leaked out and buggy illegal copies of it float around the net.
A lot of people think it came out, I assume because they had posters for it, and it was listed in Funcoland price guides as MK2 for PSX for years even though it never really sold.

maybe u made an error, but MKII was not released June 1, 1992. I don't think MK1/Arcade came out around then. And MK2 didn't arrive until September of 1994. I believe the PSX version came later.

I have it, but it`s only a beta. And sometimes it crashes my PSX. Plus it`s a copied CD.

Ok, i thought that release date for MK2 seemed wrong, but i still dont know anything about it being on PSX. I'm pretty sure MK3 was though.
I guess it was never officially released. I remember that it was announced for Saturn and PSX but it somehow never made it to the Playstation. The only PSX-version which is available is a beta-leak-version floating around the net. But in comparison to the Saturn-version (I own both Sat & PSX) it's pretty much the same as the PC-version only with better graphics and bigger sprites like in the arcade-game but the sound SUX!! They didn't even include the original arcade soundtrack!!!

It was released for the sega saturn. It was released maybe a year before playstation.

Yeah, I do. And it stinks. I rather play the sega genesis version of MK II before playing the psx crap. I know: it has better graphics...ok, but I can ́t stand so many "loadings". It even do loading when it has to say the character name on the character selection screen. Don ́t worry, if you have a genesis or snes version, be happy with it.

Best versions of mk2 are probably the 32 x version for sega gen and the super nintendo version. The one on the saturn isn't bad but the sound is garbage. Just download an emulator and play the super nintendo one.
