If there were a tournament, which character would you choose to win with and why? I would choose Frost myself. I'd have to say that complexity-wise, her combos are the simplest in the game (they can be hard to pull off, though), and when you fire off a Frostbitten on your opponent and you get all the hits, it sure does a lot of damage. Only two of those, plus another hit of some kind, is enough to kill someone.

About Me

'I was in a fight man.' 'And he gave that to you?'
'man you should see what i did to the other guy.'

Right now Raiden is my best. But im learning Kung Lao and he is way faster than Raiden. Once i learn him i will prob play him all the time.

scorpion.... i like his Pi Gua cause im comfortable with it

it would be scorpion. he only has a difficulty rating of 1 to play with which i think is the biggest mistake in MKDA. he shoulda have the same rating as sub zero and gotten a 5. why?, because everyone who thinks MK thinks sub-zero vs. scorpion

Cyrax...definetly Cyrax. he's lite on his feet, suprisingly fast and best of all everyone thinks he sucks.

Scorpion is much easier to handle and learn to play with in MKDA then Sub. Scorpion is much more powerfull and faster thats why he got 1, Sub in the ther hand isnt as easy or powerfull (NOTE: IM NOT A FAN of these 2)
Back to the question, Ill use Sonya. She has everything needed to win. Speed, many mixes of high and low attacks, the styles, her moves (the kiss specially) and a decent powerup. She can easily beat anycharacter.

I would use Reptile, he's probably my best character in MKDA.
He's super fast and has Crab, the fastest style in the game (I think?).
He has loadsa mixups, a really easy 40% branch, his fatality rocks, and imo, he just looks cool.
And supposedly Reptile is an everything killer

I found Sub a breeze to play as a beginner. I still have issues with Scorpion though. He just doesn't move right, drives me nuts. And Sub feels almost as fluid as Sonya to me.

In a tournament, I'm pretty sure that I'd pick Bo Rai Cho because his only real counter is Scorpion and Hsu Hao...and there's a really good chance that anyone outside of MKL's circle of competition doesn't know how to cheese with Scorpion so I'll win for sure (meaning a local tourney, of course).
If I didn't pick Bo, I'd pick either Scorpion or Sonya...not many people can avoid Sonya's mixups and Scorpion is just too good. I may have some fun with Li Mei, but that depends on the competition.
In any case...in all pre-game matches I'd use random. IF ONLY I had some comp

It depends on whether you'd like to play good ol' VainQueur for fun and tricks or for the real deal ;).
Just for fun, I'd probably pick either Kano, Sub-Zero or Mavado. I'm very aggressive, responsive and quick with Kano. I like to play Mavado because he's usually underestimated by his opponenets ("long fist? what harm could it do?") but he's fairly devastating if given opportunities to counter. He can destroy almost any opponent at sweep range. Sub-Zero is my best defensive player.
And in a competition, I would pick Reptile. Why? First of all, while Scorpion is definitely and undoubtedly #1 I just don't like to be like anyone else :). Sonya is okay too, but once you got her game figured out and can keep her at bay or force her to play defensively, she's at a loss. Reptile otoh can be used as a surprising fighter and he's about the only one I can think of who can get out of Scorpion's hellfire threat or is fast enough to avoid Sonya.
My 2 c.

Reptile. He's by far my strongest character, and my favorite. I dunno why, but friends who can beat me when I'm anyone else stand little chance against me when I use Reptile. I'm also pretty good with Drahmin.
Against the CPU or the handful of people I play, Cage. His styles are flashy and he has some great moves, I can really make people look foolish with him. He also was the first character I 'mastered' in MKDA
Against good players in a tournament, I suppose I would have to choose someone of a higher teir, I suppose Reptile since his crab style can do great damage. Not gonna pick Scorpion, he's the obvious #1.
