fighting noob in mk2

That has to suck. Mine never glitched or anything doing it the hard way. Guess there must have been a bad batch of them or something.

I believe there are 3 different versions of MK2 for SNES, all have different intro screens, like one has sculptured software, and one does not, and another has something else as well. The version I had only had the license screen and Acclaim, and you couldn't fight Noob, it would just go black.

Actually he says, "Feel the power of, *Dan Forden* Toasty!"
I dunno if he only says that on MK2 Challenger or all versions he is on.

I've got the same question, is it a necessity to be fighting on the portal stage? and do we have to press start or block?

It's down and start on the Portal when Dan Forden says Toasty! So only do uppercuts.

Does Dan Forden pop up if the uppercut is blocked or it misses? Does Dan Forden only pop up on the portal? I was playing a beta of MKII and the pizza (Test Modes were automatically enabled and I turned on Ooh Nasty) popped up in the Kombat Tomb. Does he pop up on MK3/UMK3?

In MKII arcade, SNES, Genesis, PC, any port, Dan Forden comes out and says Toasty randomly, on any stage when you connect an uppercut.
In MKII for Genesis when you enable Test Modes the little Pizza Guy pops out instead of Dan Forden, I don't think you have to enable Ooh Nasty for anything except the Fergality.
To fight Smoke, the following requirements have to be met:
Connect an uppercut on the Portal on any version of MKII.
Dan Forden or Pizza Guy must say "Toasty!"
Hit Down+Start
In MK3, UMK3 and MKT, Dan Forden will pop out and say Toasty! at the end of combos as well as uppercuts.
