Has anyone heard anything from Midway regaurding MAT2 bugs?

Just wandering if anyone got an email, or even talked to someone from Midway about all the problems in MAT2 for all the games, and especially MKII, and MK3? I emailed their technical support department, and of course got no reply. Has anyone ever gotten a reply, and if so, what was said/written?

Ha ha, I'd be suprised if they replied. Probably too ashamed to do that.
I can tell ya right now what the prob is. as far as mk2 and 3 are concerned, these aren't ports, these are the actual arcade code emulated to the console just like mame to the comp. but your comp has more than enough power to run an emulation of a system it was never meant to run, because of the memory. your game console, even if it's an xbox, was never meant to run a game only designed for its own arcade mother board. xbox and ps2, were designed for handling games designed specifically for their system. mk2 and 3 were made in 93 and 95. long before 2004. they didnt just make these versions. it's just an emulator with games. and your systems arent powerful enough to run everything proper. they had to speed both mk's up a half second to hold frame rate so it didnt drop dramatically. due to poor emulation on home consoles, they had to keep it a step up, which i know, because i own a dedicated mk3 cabinet, with mk2 and 3 mounted inside. also mk 1. i have a webcam if any would like to check it out. my point is, with side by side comparison, the mat2 loses sync after a few seconds due to its being a half second faster. same with 3. this is why you get nosies happening a little longer, or after the fact, the flickery shadows, and on mk3 the staticy sound. that is your answer. its not midway. they did the best they could honestly. if you have mame, or have the actual arcade version upright, then quit whining and play that for your arcade perfect version. if you already have the arcade version, what the hell more do you want? jeez. this is the best home emulations these games will see til our next generation consoles come out.

I think that attitude will lead to negative results....
by saying "What more do you want? These are great emulations" (albeit not perfect) is like saying we're willing to settle.
It is important that we as a consumer keep an attitude of necessity of perfection because otherwise companies will feel they can halfass everything

I think people seem to miss the underlying fact that one can purchase Mortal Kombat II and 3 plus N.A.R.C. and a handful of other games for twenty measly dollars.

Well, for the most part you are correct. However, there could never be a good enough excuse for Midway and Digital Eclipse that could make up for them releasing the buggy port of MK1 and announcing to the public that it is ''arcade perfect,'' when in fact there are major sound issues that reside within the game, which I'm sure they were well-aware of
Like I've said many times before, if I would have known ahead of time that the sound was as screwed as it is, I would have just kept my ten dollars and bought MK:D a day earlier (on the 5th), instead of waiting that extra day for the Premium Pack (which arrived on the 6th due to shipping delay). As far as MAT2 goes.. I'm again disappointed. But it's not that big of a deal with me cause they never promised the ports would be perfect. But as a consumer in general, I do feel that some kind of explaination or apology is in order for at least being lied to about the half-assed MK1 port, and being tricked into buying the Premium Pack. And I think everyone has a clear right to angry about it.
No news still. Just as we thought. Anyway, the consoles have more than enough power. Including the X-Box, becuase the X-Box is actually a computer in a box almost. Everything that it takes for a computer to run, takes the X-Box to run so the X-Box is more than powerful enough. Anyway, one huge disappointment was all the bugs that could have been fixed before releasing. The team who took the time in to put these games together even made some of the other ports very crappy. Primal Rage was another disappointment, and even Narc has some major bugs in it. It is not the system hardware it is the game itself. The Start button also is a major let down when it comes to our two most popular games, MKII, and MK3. MK3 was fixed with a certain button, where MKII was not fixed at all. MK1 is the best out of all three. The only issue with MK1 is the sound. Midway needs to let the general gamming population what happened with these games, and if they even tested them. If they did test them thoroughly like they should have, they would have noticed everything wrong, and fixed it.

I am in total agreement.
