If the time calls for them...like when I get someone with scorps spear and have less than 1/2 life left I use Ninja Sword 1,3, 4,1,1,3 combo for 38%. Other than that I try not to use them for most characters.

I use them just with combos, or when I think I am in trouble.
And yes, Mavado's weapons are fatal.

i think using weapons a lot is cheap. Even though i find myself using raidens staff all the time. youd be surprised how strong it is.

I use them when whoever I'm fighting uses them or when my opponent is in danger.

I hope none of my friends read this but I like to "fake" my playing. I'll act like I'm really trying and that we're really "even". So I like to make the battles seem "intense" by pulling a weapon out when they do. Otherwise I usually just switch when I find a good time to do so. I shouldn't fake but my friends refuse to play me in other fighting games cause they think they have no chance.

About Mavado, his weapon Kombo 2,4,4,back+3 has not 28% Damage, it has 45%!

A lot in Combos. Specially with Rayden, Cage and Sonya.

I use the weapon stance with not bothering to do combos ONLY if the weapons are to do Impale. I rather use the weapon in combos then just in the stance.

I mainly use them in combos.

But for me the most fun is when your oponent has his or her weapon out as well. An MK swordfight is simply awesome.

Ya, what pretty much everyone else has said; I use em' mostly in juggles. I don't use em much as a last resort though, i usually stick to quick pokes that set up weapon mix ups or that work them over to the wall.

However, when playing Mavado I seam to stay in weapon more than most other characters, simply becuase he has good movement out of weapon. Peace and love ya'll.

I don't use weapons very much. I lik hand to hand combat more... I tend to use weapons more though when my character has a weapon that can be impaled.

Yeah, Mavado's weapons are tight... And he does have good movement with them... Like most everyone else, I use Mavado's weapons more than fighting when I am Mavado, because his hand to hand combat is hard to get good movement out of.

i see them as a last resort unless im using mavado. for some reason no matter how hard i try i can never seem to get a grip of his weapons, then again i never did like HIM much at all. i guess i just suck when it comes to using him.

id take kanos over anyones. they seem easy to use. also although i dont see too much variety in raidens staff it seems pretty effective

When do I use weapons? when ever the situation calls for them. If i find myself being reversed a lot, i pull them out and even the playing field.

I must say, Quan Chi's weapons definately suit him. He is an awesome hand to hand combatant but when you're getting your ass handed to you, you can whip out the double broad swords and BAM! Instant victory. He's just too damn good with those bastards. The only guy who I was able to beat Moloch in one try with.
