yeah and besides totally changing the characters is really what ruins any other series out there-- I remember that is what got me off of watching ninja turtles and power rangers as a lil kid, there were always new main villians, just never had the same feel anymore.

Everybody has to go sometime. I guess it was just his time. I just hope if he does come back, he's NOT in Kano's body!

unlike johnny cage who actually had a reason for returning form the dead.

i never liked johnny cage and they could bring liu kang back to complete his job as the Mortal Kombat champion, (i believe there is a topic about this already) anyways we said on there that since MKDA isnt an official tournament so they elder gods may bring him back as a result of his death outside of the tournament

what exactly was the point of johnny cage returning?

correct me if i am wrong - which i probably am - but when liu won MK, wasn't he granted immortality until the next MK champion was decided? to my knowledge liu won in MK2 and MK3 was just a fill-in for the story. so shouldn't he still be immortal, since there hasn't really been another championship fight since MK2??

Liu Kane was not granted immortality, if was he would be disqualified from "Mortal" Kombat. He was given agelessness, there is a difference. When one is immortal he can not be killed (However, there may be a few loopholes in this rule). When one is ageless he does not age, but he can still be killed. Liu Kane was granted agelessness to help ensure that he would appear in future tournaments.

Note: I often wondered if Rayden gave up his immortality to take part in the tournament in MK1, because being an immortal he should have not been allowed to fight in the tournament.

well, thank you for clearing that up. i was under the assumption that he couldn't be killed until the next MK was held because the elders gave him "limited immortality."

I'm not going to copy and paste my opinion in here, instead I will paste the link.

And yes, I was really board. But I think it is funny none the less.
