i picked up a new sealed copy ofa greatest hits MKT today at my local EB games and...
ive been trying half the combos i see in all these popular vids and they dont seem to be working.
they dont stay up in the air that fraction extra that they do in N64 and the combos seem harder to pull off..
are these crazy combos excecutable?
are there any differences between PSX and N64 versions?

The combos performed in those videos i think were made in the first released version of MKT PSX,the characters stayed in the air for more time so those crazy/infinite combos were possible.It was more glitchy version of MKT.

Yeah thats sounds right. My friends both own mkt, each one for the two different game console. Other than fatalities, codes,characters and aggressore, they are the same.
Oh and music has a different tune and you get picture endings for some of the characters for psx.

In the combo videos we did all the MKT exclusive combos on the Greatest Hits (non broken) version of MKT for PSX unless otherwise stated. There are a handful of Buggy MKT combos for PSX mixed in, again, labeled.
All the combos are doable, they just require a lot of patience and are intended for casual in game use.

I cant believe you found a sealed copy of Trilogy at EB Games. I cant even get a used copy now unless it looked like it went through a lawn mower :)

Yeah, a lot of them might seem impossible to get in Greatest Hits MKT, but that's just because they take a lot of practice sometimes.
One of the big things to remember, don't spam the buttons. If someone is in the air and the next hit you want to get is an aa.HP, don't mash HP to get it. Get used to timing the hit to just press HP once. A lot of times if you are in recovery frames from a move and you mash HP, you don't get one as quickly as you would if you wait until the recovery time is over and press HP.

im trying to do Rain's super roundhouse combos and its imposable to do it like in the 1 video i saw. they just dont react the same to punches, as well as reptiles run under and punch combo, even using the quick run (B,F+4) it is impossable to execute.

I don't know precisely what video you saw, but Rain's roundhouse infinites and Reptiles dashing infinites are 100% doable in Greatest Hits MKT for PSX and Final Version MKT for PC.
