KRSX66: if you're telling me you haven't seen ALL of DT vidz, you gotta be kidding me...

I wasn't saying that at all, I list in my credits in almost every vid that the DT vids (and I suppose your MKT vids to a lesser extent) inspired me to make my own....

I DID read the whole thread before posting. my comments are based on what I believe, not on other people's posts. I wasn't talking about your last vid only, I was talking about ALL of your videos. anyway, the vids are good (did you see my post about it in your vids thread?) but I still think the majority of kombos are taken from DT vidz. and when I say DT vids, I mean ALL nine vidz. (7 arcade UMK3/psxMKT and 2 n64MKT)

But your still saying my combos are "taken" from the DT vids, which I didn't do (ok, maybe the Stryker corner inf. - but dammit, that's a cool combo, and ones I improved a little like the Subby 3 freeze HP glitch.) I do see resemblance in my combos, but like I've said before, there isn't much left to do to acheive high damage that hasn't been shown before. After this new 'max damage' one comes out, I doubt they'll be anything left that's new to show. Oh and I guarantee that some of the combos in the Max damage video will resemble combos from previous vids...

But I am glad you still said my vids are good, thankyousmile

yeah Konqrr and I have already toiled with the old versions. We want to do an MK1 video eventually, but it will have to wait until the mugen project is complete, right now there is a lull in progress because of certain cirumstances so I've had time to come up with and record combos. Timing is working out well.

I just got back into Mame MK's (got the controller problem fixed) and have been recording MK1 combos again. Haven't got too far yet (only about 8 video worthy combos/clips) but I'm working on recording from all the revisions, starting w/ 5 and working backwards all the way to the Prototype version... I'll send you a new vid if you want (with only video worthy/quality clips in it this time) when I'm done Rev. 5, maybe you can use/improve any of the combos in it.

man, but whereelse but Morbid Kombat Trilogy would be sonya leg grab+bike kick combo???? and some more...I'll tell you what: I'm gonna watch all vids again and I'll tell you how many kombos are the same as DT vids. your combo improvements were ok. the vids mostly were ok. when I say your vids are good, I mean it, you put a lot of work on it, I can't deny that fact. I just don't like seeing that almost half of the kombos are identical to DT or just 1- 2hit-improvement ...

That's not the point, it's the fact that 90% of the combos are actually rehashes with *less* hits or damage, not improvements. There's no debate here, I'm just stating fact. It really just makes people less interested because the onlookers are seeing the same, or similar stuff constantly. So now when I release the next video on shoryuken.com, it'll get even less attention, replies, etc than the last video.

I honestly didn't know the Sonya leg grab inf. was in your vid - sorry.

And don't waste your time going through all my combo vids and the DT ones - I don't really care (but if for some reason you do, I can truthfully tell you were each combo in my vids came from). I'm happy with my vids, and now I released this one, I'm not going to release anymore (umk3 ones) cus I wrapped up my series.
And finaly, I did put a lot of effort into making them, especialy this one, as many of the combos were difficult to pull off and record, so at least you appreciate the effortwink

but you still plan to release mk1 combo vid? i suggest you to send all your ideas and combos to shock and konqrr, so they will take care of mk1, just to escape future situations like this one.

Heh, I think that's a good idea tongue I was planning on sending Shock a video soon of Rev. 5 combos I'm working on now, to see if they could use / improve any of them for the MK1 vid. I dunno who is working on it at the moment, how far they are, or anything really. I'd still like to collabarate with them to make it, if many work on making just one video for the game, then hopefully it will turn out exceptionally well...

The vid I'm compiling of Rev. 5 MK1 combos is pretty good so far. I've got 12 solid combos ranging from 50% - 75% from Rev. 5, a wide variety combos actualy, which is great considering MK1's limitations...
Also have a few fatality glitches / funny things, some vid worthy, others not.
I'm gona keep exploring Revision 5.0 for now, and when I'm done soon I'll send Shock the video if he's interested, I'll have to talk to him about it again.

But whatever the case may be, this MK1 vid should be great...
