Hey guys...I ́m new here in the forum. Here ́s a stupid (jajaja) fan question: Is Blaze the same fire guy that was fighting in a far bridge when you were on The Pit II in Mortal Kombat II?
I know that some of you will think:"He is stupid", but..hey! I ́m a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very BIG fan of MK and this is a question that formed in my mind since the first day I saw Blaze.
(Sorry if i have some errors, but I ́m Argentinian)

thats what some rumors say and some people belive, i on the other hand, belive that he is just a new character that might have been inspired by "torch" as he was called...

(if you cant read that coz your argantinian, here is simple answer:

no, background character is torch, this character is blaze, diffirent)

They are the same!!!! Blaze is the character from Mk2, read his bio, it says he was ambushed by Holy Men still serving the Dragon king on a BRIDGE.

And like mister_sattan666 said, Boon said he will include a hidden character that was in a level of Mk2, everybody knew it would be Blaze.

thats why the name torch was only used by fans and boon(when talking to fans)

he never used the name when talking about the game

Yeah! I didn ́t know that Boon said that, but I knew it was the same!! Do you remember, guys?? The first days we (or only I??) played Mortal Kombat II and we unlocked all the secrets and knowing that we definitely couldn ́t play with Kano or Sonya...we wondered: how in the name of Zeus do we unlock the fire guy of The Pit II??
Mortal Kombat II was marvelous, it had a lot of secrets, I played it day and night smile

I actually thought about that, but no. The guy on fire seems to be so CALM. Like, he dosent even feel his ass is getting tosted. The guy also isnt Liu Kang, he is in green, and in MKDA they said that great monks captured Blaze. The "LIu Kang" is a monk, "Torch" or the "Calm guy getting kileld" is Blaze.

Yea i always assumed that the guy way back there was liu kang lighting someone on fire, and we saw his corpse burning before it fell down. It looks the way a character looks in scorpions fatality before they blow up.

You've got to remember that back in 1994, they didn't have the processing power for a lot of action to be happening on the screen. The game would have been pushing the limits of it's system as it was by rendering the battlegrounds and keeping up with the action of the fight.

The guy that Liu Kang is setting alight looks calm b ecause they physically couldn't make him run around in pain. They just didn't have the hardware capable of that kind of thing back then.

Man. You're such a noobs. M'i the only veteran here? In late 1994 Boon gived an interview where he said that it was a promotion for Killer Instinct. The guy on the left want to be Chief Thunder, and the flameing guy want to be Cinder........

Alright peeps... Jeez, who cares. Blaze is a new hidden character with, like, very little info and doesn't have that much of an ending. However when I first unlocked him, I too thought of the flaming background character in MKII. But It doesn't matter now. Everyone has Blaze unlocked, he has three fighting styles, no fatalities (which MK5.org told me after posting a message on the wrong MK:DA discussion board)no weapon style, and was awakened by something after incubating a stupid dragon egg, the LAST dragon egg at that. Is Blaze that special.... um... Nope. Next discussion please!

Dude...the guy only asked if BLAZE was actually the so called "Torch" character in Mk2 wich he is. So, you didnt have to explain how not special Blaze is in MKDA or that nobady cares...
