Finding every move you can bdc out of will really improve your chances of defeating a human opponent.

BDCs are great in the fact that they (for the most part) eliminate any recovery time from an attack. It gives you a small distance and if your opponent tries to retaliate in a normal fashion, you will be at an advantage.

See, when they attack from a small distance you have a greater chance of being able to jump in on their attacks just by how the system works. Just track (sidestepping) into a combo and more times than not it will give you the hits and not your opponent. This has some amount timing to it, but so does every aspect of this game.

Try figuring out routines that you can bdc or do a mix-up. For ex Reptile again: (HG) 1,3,4,cs,1,1 then you have the option to bdc; b+3; bdc then b+3; or 1,1,bdc again. There's more different things you can do here, just use your head...

(i believe you can bdc after 1 or 1,1 in crab)

Just changing up things against an opponent will keep them on their toes, and they will have a harder time judging when to retaliate.

Oh, and just to be clear i guess... BDCs will not guarantee you anything. You can still be hit after your attack. Doing this just makes you a harder target to hit.

Have a good new year everyone!
