i didn't even know that you spelled soul calibur wrong in a any posts or anything, i was laying down sarcasm really thick. I was saying, i played a game called soul calibur, and in it there was a character called lizardman. like if someone were to say, i play a game called mortal kombat, and in it there is a character called scorpion. Would you hack on someone for calling him scoprion, or would you tell them to call him, whatever scorpion's real name was? (i know it's out there somewhere)

On top of that, i was JOKING and trying to make it seem as if the names of the characters mattered if these two fictional characters were to "fight".
Relax, and try to imagine that someone may be joking or being sercastic in a post. Don't post up about how they should learn the "true name" of a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

Well I still stand by the fact that trying to put those two games together would be stupid. Trying to combine a weapon based fighter with a fantasy game like Mortal kombat is not only a horrible idea but it will never happen. Projectiles have nothing to do with it. Mavado doesn't have a projectile yet he's in MK: DA. It can be argued that Sonya (I'd hardly call her kiss move a projectile) and Bo Rai Cho (same with his puke move) don't have projectiles either. Whether you want to classify Cyrax's bombs as projectiles is up to you as well. The fact that most SC characters don't have projectiles is a completely moot point.

That's retarded having 20 characters that can blast at you with fireballs and whatever else while the other 20 can't and get to play dodgeball. Also I wasn't just refering to projectiles I was refering to most of the special moves hense "fantasy", I was refering to all the magical abilities of the characters in MK. In Soul Calibur almost all special moves are weapons based granted they do have a few kicks and what not. I still believe it's moronic to even conceive of putting the two games together. They are simple incompatible. Now lets talk about combining Tekken with Smash brothers melee.. wow what a mix that would be!

You're calling MK a fantasy game? Like soul Calibur isn't? Dude, the fact that sigfreid can even hold that sword is pure fantasy. and what about mystical powers? shall we look at Astaroth? the reincarnated golem from hell? Etc etc. Combining a fantasy game with a fantasy game is just a fantasy itself, which is fine.

Also, the game developers seem to think that you CAN mix them, or else Hehiachi wouldn't be in Soul Cal II for the ps2.

You are defending the sanctity of these games as if a black whole really would open up if they were combined, but guess what, they wouldn't. All that would happen is a shitload of games would be sold, and you'd be at home crying about how MK2dope was right all along and how he wrecked your shit on the message boards. It's no secret that I think Tier Lists are bullshit...and Mavado is definately not a loser. It's not like it's extremely difficult to avoid projectiles in MK: DA. And see how long you last against a good Mavado player when you have your back to the wall and he has his hookswords out.
