Since Midway is re-releasing MKII on Midway Arcade Treasures II, I have made a list of special features that I would like to see included. MKII commercial, MKII comic, various options/tweaks/etc.
Click here to see the full list with screenshots and explanations for everything. Any comments and other ideas/suggestions welcome.

totally agree, particularly about the Pong thing.
Fighting Noob Saibot should be easier also.
I really like those ideas!
Also some other ideas for MK1, what do you think people:
- write the name 'Reptile' when we fight Reptile instead of Scorpion
- an option that would garanty a shadow in front of the moon when we fight on the pit against the computer(I have never faced reptile and facing him in MK1 was too hard and a waste of time) or at least have a shadow in front of the moon, every 2 games cycle, instead of every 3 cycles.
thats about it...

Just one thing ]ombat, wouldn't the MKII comic be in Deception since the MK1 comic was in Deadly Alliance?

Well, Midway didn't know about at MAT2 at the time of MKDA's release. I think the MK2 comic would fit better with MAT2.
Also, check out the site again, I added an MK style arcade joystick I think would totally rule for playing MK with!

I don't know. A lot of the stuff you're asking for seems to require a lot of recoding for MKII. All Midway is doing is coding an arcade emulator to run the rom correctly. To do alot of things you're asking for they would have to have the original files, recode what needs changing, recompile it, and dump it into a rom.
The best we could hope for is them going in with a hex editor and hacking some values that would benefit the game. Like instead of 250 matches to play Pong, they could overwrite it to just 50.

Cool ideas but there is one idea I dont like and that's the multi-tier stages.Wouldnt that mess with MK2's feeling of the game?A MKII arcade stick would own.I hope the old NBA Jam will be on there if Acclaim allows them.

totally agree also, but I agree with DrFatality, multi-tier is the only option I don't agree with.
Also I think that there was 2 versions of the portal stage, one during the night and the other during the day, have both stages(who is the same one) would rule in MK2.
KOMBAT you should e-mail your suggestions to midway along with my MK1 suggestions about Reptile

Well, most of these ideas are very nice, but like someone other said it before, to run the old games for MAT2, they will simple use some kind of emulation to run it on the PS2 and XBOX.
And by the way, the compilation is called Midway ARCADE Treasure, not Improved Arcade Games Treasure, if the change anything about the games, its no longer ORIGINAL Arcade.
And most of you guys forget that the MK games are only a part of that compilation.
Another idea would be somekind of MK1-3 for matching service, like Capcom did it for SSF2X and Darkstalkers on the Dreamcast, with online support and gameplay balancing, and matching statistics that would be great, but simply a fan dream that is not realistic.

These are great ideas guys. But like others have said it will probably be just the straight arcade version. I think no matter what they should change reptiles life bar since it should have been like that anyways. Another thing I like is the idea of changing the pong thing to 50 wins or so and 25 for Noobers. On the 32X version of MKII thats all it took for the almighty Noob Saibot.

We will be *lucky* to get perfect arcade ports of the games. I guarantee they will be off on some things cause of laziness. I want this stuff to be a success as much as anyone else, but given their track record, it's highly unlikely we'll see something 100%, even 99% perfect. Granted, there's no reason to not be, but it's just the way they do things.

I agree with these:
Shangs Laugh
Stealth Kombat
Goro's Lair
Alternate Costumes
Reptile Green Blood
4 on 4 Kombat
MK Joystick
I would add:
-Playability of hidden characters and bossess
-Background behind the deadpool (different than N64 version though cause it didn't make much sense)
-MK1 Shang and Goro Secret
-Cheats Menu

an option that allow the player to control at what frequence a shadow appear in front of the moon in MK1 would be nice.
I may repeat myself but anyway

Great points Kombat!
I'd like to add these points:
-Addition of MK3 Shao Kahn taunts in MK2
(you can use the same taunt-animation of MK2, but with the new voice records of MK3). This way you have the old classic Shao Kahn taunts,..aswell as the new taunts (and so increase inpredictability).
-Blood that stays on the ground like in MKDA (instead of magically dissapearance).
Not only more realistic,...but also more gruwesome
-Original Goro's Lair. I remember the original Goro's Lair has mysterious eyes in the background that lits up during the fight. I don't think this was present in MK2 arcade (could be wrong).
Also add the original Goro's Lair background music. I recall in MK2 arcade the background music was the same as the deadpool background music.
-Add Kintaro in the credits like Goro was in MK1.
Not only more consistent,...but also interesting and fun.
-Add UMK3 style glow to Jade only when projectiles go through her.
These are all minor chances if you have access to the source code (hope some day far, far in the future it will be released so old-time fans can play with it).
The Shang Tsung victory stance is interesting.
I believe that stance can be activated by means of a button combination (much like Scorpions toasty hint and Johnny Cage three head fatality) and is part of the unfound secrets in MK2.
