Where can I find MK Trilogy for the Sega Saturn? I don't want to do online shopping either.

When it comes to Sega Saturn you really don't have much choice but to do online shopping. Don't go Ebay until you're desperate though. Back when funcoland.com was selling Saturn games I bought most of my games and the system off of there. There's also a site on http://www.classicgaming.com that specializes in Sega's CD based systems, so there's some help on that site that tells specifically where you can buy Saturn games now.

You would be better off getting for for PSone. Both versions are the same, except the PSone version has transparencies.

I had the PAL Saturn version. I must have been one of the only people to have it on PAL.

Saturn didnt have the transparencies? Thats just a shame. It made the smoke look so awesome.

Nearly all the transparent effects on Saturn were done like the energy bars in UMK3. Quickly alternating non transpent textures or sprites in an alternate pixel mesh. Didn't look nice.

I was lucky enough to get the saturn version when it came out a year later than the n64 and ps1 versionsm hehe forced moms on it. i still got it and play it faithfully too. the only way it might be bought is online. and i played the ps1 version of trilogy and still prefer it on saturn. the way the sound was programmed for the game seemed alittle better than ps1. the only gripe about the ss version i have is how the typical thing that happens on saturn: when it tries to play more than 1 voice sample the damn thing sounds like a slowed down sperson talkin like they're in slo-mo. lmao

i got it at walmart when it came out...sold my saturn, but kept the game.

try going to a pawn shop (they usally have them) or a video game store. sometimes stores can "special order" games for you. hell, print an add in your newspaper under "wanted, mortal kombat trilogy for sega saturn" if you want it, might as well go all out to get it.....its worth it.

but, why not shop online? ebay is the best place to get anything. mkt is on there constantly.

I've been screwed online before, so I don't like it.

Also, I'm wondering how the loading times are. The loading times in UMK3 for Saturn are horrible.

The sound thing didnt happen often. the only time you'd catch it is like when the announcer is saying the character's name after a victory while another sound, like say toasty, was playing making it just be like scoroifdjpwjjfion wins. lol
but the way the sound was done was better than the playstation, for example: when they showed the cast of characters.

PSX had some messups like that too, but we only got it a few times and usually amidst numerous hour blocks of playing.

The thing I disliked the most about the PSX sound was the slowed down music. I don't quite understand why they would slow all the musics down, its just weird. Still better then the N64 music which was utter crap. I'd love to hear what Saturn's sounds like.

For a while I know you could order any Saturn games straight from Sega and they could send you a copy for the PC thanks a Saturn emulator they had made. Wonder if that only went for games that were created by Sega.

i remember when the ps1 version did that it didnt do it the way the saturn did it just didnt say one of the words. the overall music sounded the same to me but i think some of the sound effects are different. the only one i remember being different is the explosion effect used during the credits of mkt, it sounded better on saturn. also there are some very minor differences between the ps1 and saturn version but are barely noticable

The saturn and ps versions are almost identical... the best version of mk3 I've played on a home system is UMK3 for the saturn. Yah the loading times were trash but the rest of it was great.

thats very true. when it came out i rented it alot cause i never got to experience an arcade-perfect port of mk til then. (the closest i got was the mk's on snes lol) even though i eventually got some systems with arcade-perfect ports, i'm thinking about getting some off ebay. (mk2 for saturn and mk3 for ps1)actually i'm gonna get umk3 as well since my genesis version was crap and someone i let borrow it still has it

oh, and the only difference of mkt between the saturn and ps1 versions is that on the ps1 version the mkt logo has alittle animation of it spinning then going to the mkt title screen. on saturn it just went to the title screen, no animation of the spinning logo. the way the music stopped for loading was different but the actual loading times are identical in every way.
