Compared to the PS2/PC version of MKT...the N64 version sucked.

I really thought the animation looked worse then PSX/Saturn.
Also, fewer characters is a bummer, no unmasked Sub Zero, MK2 Kung Lao, MK2 Jax, MK1 Kano, or MK1 Rayden.
And the engine of the game feels definately changed from other versions. MKT for PSX and PC had the feel of UMK3 for the arcade with the same limitations and disabling. For MKT they eased up on the limitations to make it easier for novices to get huge damage combos and such.

the N64 version also didn't have Goro and Kintaro... and you had to unlock Kahn and Motaro to play as them. However, Kahn and Motaro did have 1 fatality each in the N64 version.

Just wondering, how could the music be better? It is full quality CD Audio...

If classic Rayden and Kano are missing on the 64 version, how was I able to play as them? Hm?

I am a owner of N64's MKT. To me it is a ok port not anywhere near good. I've hear that the PS1 version has better audio, better animation ,more levels, more people. To me even though I never played the PS1 version it made it better than the N64 version. I am not saying it is bad but to me it is lacking compare to its PS1 counter part.

That's easy, you weren't.

Uh, yea, I was.
I Own MKT for PS® & N64, for what I can say:
Nintendo 64: Downgraded Palletes, Less Sprites, "Monoaural-Like" Audio, Less Characters & Bosses, but You can Enable The Fun Stuff with 1 Single Code at The Demo Mode (It's Easier if You just Attach 1 Pad to The N64, and do The Code at The IMPORTANT there is only 1 Controller Screen).
Playstation®: Wider Color Palletes, Direct Audio from The CD (You can take it into Your Discman or Car for Kombat Soundtrack), a Lot of "Unavailable in other Versions" Characters, Enable Everything Code Easier to Do (L1+L2+R1+R2+Up, or something; Hold Select at The Select Your Fighter Screen, over Raiden, Jax, Kung Lao & Kano), You can have a Lot of Fun if You Use GameShark, although The Characters Look Skinny compared to The Arcade/N64 Versions.
BTW:
Goro:
BBF + HK
FF + HP
DD + LK
BBB + LP
(BBB + LK as Shang)
Kintaro:
DU
BBF + HP
FF + HP
DD + LK
(Hold LP as Shang)
Motaro:
FDB + HP
FF + HP
DU
(FDB + HP as Shang)
Kahn:
DF + HP
DF + LP
BF + HP
BBF + LP
DD + HK
DD + LK
FF + HP
(BF + HK as Shang)
Because You're Drunk, MK1 Raiden and Kano are just Available in the PS® Version, not The N64 one.

I didn't know Goro and Kintaro weren't in the N64 version till after I bought it, which pissed me off (fortunately I got it used for $20, but still).
Care to tell us how?

Maybe you are confused and don't realize that the PSX version had MK1 Kano and MK1 Raiden in it. THe N64 version did not.

I never played the PS version.

I think there should be a version that combines both games and has a few new features. If you had the boss fatalities, the hidden female ninja, no load time, and other good features of the N64 version with better audio, more characters, etc from the PSX and combine them that would rule.
BTW, the PSX version is missing at least 2 MK1 boards- are they in the N64 version?

I don't recall the Warrior Shrine, The Palace, or the Palace Gates in MKT.

Both versions have two exclusive stages.
PSX = The Bank and Kahn's Arena.
N64 = Star Bridge and Hidden Portal.
All of them are missing Palace Gates, Warrior Shrine and Throne Room.

Can you post pics of: Star Bridge and Hidden Portal? Thanks.
I can't, but maybe someone else can?
I can describe them though.
Hidden Portal was in MK3. It was a secret stage where you fought Smoke before he was unlocked with the UKK. It's the bridge of the Pit 3 with the red portal from the game over screen.
Star Bridge is even more lame. It's just the Pit II bridge with this field of stars in the background.

Is there any way to get to Noob's Dorfen on any of the home systems?
