I hate to say it but the old sub-zero may be gone forever. If I remember fight night transcript correctly the MK staff said he is gone for good. I wouldnt give up in the idea that MK1's sub-zero may not come back. As you may know that the babe in MKM returned from the death, there might be a chance that MK1 sub-zero might be one in the future MK games. till next time laterzzzzzz :l

Id love to see him come back with a move list that stil revolves around ice but is totally different from Sub-Zero, but only if they drop frost. Three Ice Ninjas would be a little weird. Though I wouldn't mind I know people would bitch.

It would be cool, but I doubt they would drop Frost so early. Nobody really complained about her enough to warrant Boon getting rid of her. I mean, she wasn't Stryker or anything.

I want him to come back and kill his younger brother. Then Scorpion who is supposed to protect the younger sub zero would have to get vengance or something.

If they kill the new Sub I would be seriously upset. hes been in the games for over 10 years. His story is also developing nicely and has many different possibilities. If the old sub comes back it should be to help out the new sub's storyline. If hes coming back to end it then I don't want it back.

The young sub-zero is ok with his mask on but wihout it he looks so retarded. Personanlly i want the old sub-zero to kill the new one and take over as grand master.

They can always invent some storyline to bring him back, or say that he never really died, or something similar.

wasnt the original subzero suppose to come back in deadly alliance, this time as a spectre pursuing scorpion (brought back by quan chi)trying to get revenge on him by killing scorpion for wrongfully killing him or something like that it was an idea that was being kicked around, i think i heard it on gamespot, anyway it sounded cool and having a spectre subzero wouldve been uber badass, but ah well.

Oh please! If it were not for origanal Sub Zero this site would not exist and Mortal Kombat would never have become popular! The origanal Sub Zero has great story, espically when you add mythologies. All us old skhool mk fans know it, too!

No, the old Sub-Zero was pretty boring. The new Sub-Zero is a much better character, with a much more developed story and persona.

No, the new Sub's story is scattered at best. He is a bore and has no persona. And it is true that the origanal Sub carried the first game along with Scorpion.

There was the whole story with Smoke and the lin kuei, plus his feud with Scorpion in MK4. MKDA adds even more to his story...
If the second Sub-Zero has no personality, then what about the first Sub? He's a nothing compared to the new sub-zero, storyline wise. The reason you love him is because you know nothing about him.

The things with Scorpion in MK4 back tracked so much in the whole Scorpion/Sub story! There was no explaination as to why their relationshi[ regressed to MK2 times! I did not mind the MK3 story of him fleeing his clan. But in MK2 he had little value for story (although he was great to play with) and in MK4 his story sucked, in MKDA his story sucks again.
