Yep I went there why this popped up to me while playing deception as Shujinko at 3:30 I don't know but I was also wondering why no one made it yet.

Since the first mortal kombat there were two moves that were thought to be favorties by fans

Sub-Zero's Frezze

Scropion's Spear Throw

Both of these temporary immoblize the opponent. I was wondering what you guys think. Which one is better? And which is your favortie

freeze is way better....gives u more time....gives u the ability to catch the enimy in air for a more powerfull combo

about spear- how the hell do u stun someone whit a knife?i never get that .....its pretty stupid if u think on the concept of that move but be it.First it stuns u....then it pulls u flying to the air and u still manage to keep standing at the end of the pull....thats jsut freaking unbeliveble stupid.if u get stuned...and someone pulls u/pushes u...U FALL DOWN

SCORPION'S SPEAR:

- Brings the opponent to you

- Takes some damage

SUB ZERO'S FREEZE:

- Opponent is left succeptable to attack for longer

- You are not open to as much attack as the spear after missing

CONCLUSION:

Freeze is better. The amount of time an opponent is frozen is more than enough time for you to approach and attack, making bringing the opponent to you pointless. Also, the damge that the spear inflicts is a lot less than an opponent can inflict if you miss with it.

both of them have their advantages and disadvantages

spear:
Adv- bring the opponent close preventing chase time
Dis- if blocked, leaves you temporary imobilized

freeze:
Adv- can throw them off without much delay time
Dis- chase time for hit is irritating and can prevent in loss of effectiveness

i like the spear, but it obv has its downfall, its a matter of fav char.

To the guy that's post the third message I'm preety sure that is going alight But I'm not going over all the special moves just Freeze and Spear. As for the matter, there is one more disadvantge to the frezze if you accidentally frezze while he's frozen you frezze.

Freeze,if you dont hit the opponent with the spear then you're going to be doomed.

Freeze, it's easier than just the spear which is a stunner for 5 seconds.

well, i hope the spear is has faster recovery now because it's gone really sluggish now... too slow, and the spear should reach the opponent faster like in the 2d games

In MK:D spear sucks, it ́s just so slow. If the opponent is even average, there ́s no chance hitting him/her with spear. And when it misses, U get your ass kicked. Freeze is better. But spear is much cooler, but inpractical... wow

These are actually two of my least favorite stunner moves. I prefer Cyrax's Green Net, Rain's Mind Control Orb, and Noob's Dark Cloud.

Freeze, not only because Sub-Zero is my favorite but because in the end its faster your not vunerable if you miss, and they are stunned longer. But I still like Scorpion and his spear.

Just thought I would point out...
- Subby's normal freeze
- Subby's vertical freeze (MK Trilogy)
- Subby's ice shaker
- Subby's ice clone (it does freeze)
- Frost's ground freeze
should all be included according to this threads subject.

If you meant the normal freeze from Subby and the spear from Scorp, I would still say freeze. (Reasons above in previous post)
