One thing I've noticed in MK: DA is some inconsistencies with any given character's taunt. I don't know why, but every now and then, for some strange reason, (this will happen on any character that has a taunt), the taunt animation will take almost twice as long as usual (IE, the taunt animation is about half the speed it is normally). I don't know why this happens, but it does, and when it does it's hella annoying because it leaves you a sitting duck for your opponent.

Can anyone caste some insight into this?

I find it hard to use taunts, and I see where you are coming from. Since my two best characters (Scorp and Raiden) dont have taunts, its hard for me to relate. I used to play Kung Lao a lot, and I found that every time I tried to taunt, I would just get beat up pretty bad by my opponent. It seems like taunts take forever to work when you are actually fighting.

But now, thanks to MKL/Konqrr, when using Jax or Kenshi, the taunt takes like half a second, so very useful. Thanks for shedding light on the jump cancel for me, and the rest of the MK5.org community.

oh damn, wtf was i thinking. Yes he does have a taunt, what I was trying to say while not thinking too well was that the taunts take too long and more often then not you are hit for more then the taunt regains while you are taunting.

Also, Im not trying to discredit whoever else discovered the jump cancel or hyper taunt. Its just that is who I heard it from.

It's more like Muay Thai and Tai Chi...so don't forget Mokap, as scorpio pointed out to me.
