its not really an infinite, its more like a 100% combo from one freeze.

I don't remember the exact steps, but you have to manipulate the freeze timer in the corner. I know this is possible and its not the hardest thing in the world to figure out, but it exists.

MK1 Sonya = unpunishable sweep + leg grab infinite makes her the best. The ball/slide can counter the sweep but thats when the mixups start. All she needs is one leg grab.

The fact that kano/sub *can* counter her sweep doesn't make them any better, cause her sweep has to be expected, enter mindgames.

actually now that i think of it, 3rd place is a hard one to determine cause raiden and kang have top fighting strats.

Wow, I didn't know Sonya was the best in Mk1. I thought Cage was better for his long fast kicks.
