ive heard alot of rumors:

mk1 had an "instant surgeon mode" with made the game alot more violent, eyes and organs going everywhere some real sick fatalities etc

mk1 the pit
there was a rumor that you could uppercut your opponent and instead of them falling on the ground they smash onto the spiked poles
couldve sworn i saw it done in the arcades once but i was real young and yeah not too bright lol

mk2 secret fatality
baraka floods the screen with water swims around like a pirana and eats the opponent, water goes red with blood

and ive heard about a whole lotta sexalities from people

Well these are some of the rumors about hidden characters I've heard you can either play as or play against:

MK1: Ermac (obviously)


Nimbus Terrafaux


MK2: Hornbuckle and Torch (who became Blaze) on the Pit 2 stage


UMK3/Trilogy: Pinklet (another palette swapped male ninja)

I'd say the Kano Transformation was one of the biggest going around because of the administration menu stats listing that on the arcade system.

I remember the Hornbuckle rumours and Nimbus Terrefaux.

One rumour that was going around my arcade for MK2 was a fatality by Reptile that he somehow turned the opponent into stone then did the tongue headrip on the opponent with them falling to the ground smashing.

In my grade school days, I've only heard of rumors such as fighting the dragon from the logo, and fighting one of Shang Tsung's guards. I hope that Deception returns to the old school days of obscure secrets (Smoke and Jade are my prime examples here), and rumors abound.

I know this part should go in MKD, but, with the return of online play, it'll be just like arcades again with the rumors flying, I'll bet!

Cyclone, the Blue cyber Ninja. in fact, if I remember correctly, he had a small Cult-following on the net. He was all over the old mk message boards in 1995, when I first got the internet. Fun stuff.
