1. MK II (This just felt right. It didnt have all the bells and whistles of other MKs it was just a great fighting game and just built so much on the orignal and of the genre. If this game were online...OMG)
2. MK trilogy (the roster was the best yet)
3. UMK (played so smooth better kombo system than in MK3)
4. MKD (has alot of good things....but alot of glitches)
5. MKDA (did a great job of making forget about MK4)
6. MK3 (combo were cool)
Its all down hill from here
7. MK Gold (see MK4 ... if you can bear it)
8. MK 4 ( I wish it was never made...this is like MK annihilation I like to pretend it never happened. This was almost the death of MK)
Mytholgies (although i have never played)
Special Forces ( did anyone play this)
I will not rate MKI because it is the grand daddy of them all with this none of the rest would be possible...but if i were force to it would be between UMK and MKD.

1. Mortal Kombat II. An actual fighting game.
2. Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Incredible roster, unfortunately 'Running,' and the ability to win any battle by continuously uppercutting remove a lot of appeal.
3. Mortal Kombat: Deception. Excellent gameplay and story depth.
4. Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition/Dark Alliance. See above, only with shitty reptile and Nitara, who I never thought fit, at all.
5. Mortal Kombat I. Small rosterr, limited moves, but fun.
6. Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. I don't think technology was up to what this game needed to be cool at the time.
7. Mortal Kombat 4/Special forces tie. Hated both of these games. Lots. MK4 is what started Reptile on the path that I really didn't like, story or character wise (although, Deception's execution made it worth it, this still sucks), combined with mediocre gameplay and a break from the games tradition look in the wrong direction all spelled doom for MK4. I also never really liked the Jax/Sonya thing, probably something to do with my anti-government beliefs, so I didn't really enjoy Special Forces too much.

1.- mk1
2.-mkd
3.-mkt
the others are just as good but they would fall in to one of this three games style of gameplay so it is enough to make a top three list.

Here I go
1. MK Deception
2. MK Deadly Alliance
3. Mortal Kombat 2
4. Mortal Kombat Gold (includes $, but Gold is better)
5. Mortal Kombat
6. Mortal Kombat 3 Series (includes UMK3 and Trilogy)
1. MK Deception
2. MK Deadly Alliance
3. Mortal Kombat 2
4. Mortal Kombat Gold (includes $, but Gold is better)
5. Mortal Kombat
6. Mortal Kombat 3 Series (includes UMK3 and Trilogy)
1) umk3
2) mkt (behind umk3 despite of the greater number of characters, because of the sprites that are not as much tall as those on arcade, and because of the sounds that are not good, except the vocals)
3) mk2 and mk1 (the most "serious" episodes of the saga)
4) the new generation of mk's : mkda and mkd (the gameplay is badly thought , the characters look like puppets, I think they should never have given up the filmed and digitalized sprites)
5) mk4 and mk gold (ugly and boring)
I don't care about the other mk games like mk mythologies or special forces
