UMK3 without a doubt i just wish mkd was better i was so hyped about that game its good but it gets boring really fast.

I'd say MK Trilogy (PSX GH) was the best. Then UMK3, which is like a more polished MKT, but with less features. Those games have the best gameplay. Then comes MK2, which had the best presentation/atmosphere in my opinion, though the less developed gameplay keeps it down in third place.

Since it is a fighting game, I suppose 'best' should be judged on which game had the best engine, which was UMK3. GH MKT is supposed to have the same properties, but MKT isn't number one because you have to factor in every character the game has. Noob Saibot, Rain and the bosses make MKT far more broken than UMK3 - so UMK3 is the best MK fighting game...

Mortal Komabt: Deception. It had the best line up of characters i've seen in a while, along with mini-games and online play.
