HHHHHHMMMMMM,going to have to say MK3/UMK3/MKT and MK:DA and MK:D all tied for me.

Even though Deceptions broken and all,it doesn't stop me from enjoying it and kicking ass with legit combos.smile

*The best fighting engine:

Even though I know MKU was more balanced, I had MORE, so much more fun with MKDA. The style idea was new and amazing, I had fun.

Second place comes Mk3 and MKT, when it was new I was shocked to see the combos and speed, I loved it.

MKD, is for me, the most boring one.

*The best music:

Mk3/U/T
Mk2/Mk1
MKD

MKDA had the worst.

*The best athmosphere:

Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 and MKDA.

*The best newcomers:

Well, even though some games have personal faves of mine, the ones that brought a bigger number of better characters are: MKDA, MK2 and Mk3.

*The best backgrounds:

I seriously cant decide. All except Mk4/Gold (even though they are good) have amazing backgrounds.

*The best bosses:

Mk1: Tsung and Goro.
Mk2: Shao Kahn and Kintaro.
MKDA: The deadly alliance, but because of the story.

Mk4 and MKD had the worst.

*The best overall storyline:

Mk1
Mk3
MKDA

Mk2 had a pretty poor storyline.

*The best fatalities and finishers:

MKD

The worst has to be MK3/T/U but ONLY because of the many heads/arms/etc,

*THE BEST MK Game:

MKDA

Gonna follow Queve's model;

---

*The best fighting engine:

UMK3 - easily

*Worst*

MKD - easily

---

*The best music:

MKMSZ - By far the best, the title screen theme is the greatest MK track of all time.

MKDA - Loved it, remixed MK2 music, new tracks, all of it added to the cool ambiance.

MK1 - Classic, the select your fighter music IS MK (along w/ the movie theme)

MK4/G - One of the few redeeming aspects of the game, really added to the aura of the dark setting.

*Worst*

MK3 wasn't great.

---

*The best atmosphere:

MK3 - Post-apocalyptic scenery was such a cool twist from the previous two games. The cast became modernized, the music followed suit. MK3 felt really bleak and desolate, like the 7 chosen's were the last hope.

MK1, MK2, MK4/G and MKDA all had fantastic atmosphere as well, each for different reasons.

Worst - MKD, after all the cool build up in DA as well - something just didn't feel right.

---

*The best newcomers:

MK2 - ALL added characters were cool and innovative, and adding two of the bosses from MK1 in Reptile and a young Shang Tsung was ingenious. MKDA had good newcomers as well, as did MK3.

*Worst* MK4, although I only really dislike Tanya, Jarek and Reiko - and even he is ok.

---

*The best backgrounds:

I gotta agree with Queve, they are all amazing. But to pick one game would be MKGold. The amazing MK4 arenas coupled with the new/remade additional stages just puts it over the top of MKDA and MKII.

*Worst*

UMK3's added stages, though I think that's more due to the fact they make you scroll through them twice, and after seeing them so many times, they have become lame.

---

*The best bosses:

MKMSZ - I love the elemental gods, it's a travesty that Fujin is the only one to appear in a regular MK game, and especialy since that game was MK4 (although if a prediction of mine comes true, MKDA will have had one also).

Goro (MK1), Shao Kahn (MK2) deserve mention as well.

*Worst* Shinnok (mk4), great potential ruined.

---

*The best overall storyline:

MK1, DA was solid too - very detailed.

*Worst*

The MK3 series, really gets messy trying to tie in umk3 and THEN mkt, lol.

---

*The best fatalities and finishers:

MK4/G - too bad the camera angles f' them up a bit. Stage fatals really were cool in this one, especialy the PIT continue screen.
MKD had really good fatals and stage fatals as well, death traps and hara kiris are cool...

*Worst*

MK3 series - ok you wanna focus on the fighting engine, great, but don't take away from what made you popular in the first place - do both! Babalities, Animalities and to an extent Brutalities were just stupid.

*THE BEST MK Game:

UMK3, followed closely by MKT

*Worst*

MKII is my personal least favourite, though I've never played MKSF. MKD really runs it close though, I never play it anymore, and haven't for months (thanks to the cheating / cheesing online) actually I probably play it less than MKII actually...ok then, change of heart - MKD is my most hated, what a piece of shit - how can you possibly regress from MKDA???confused
