I got knocked into the pit when first ever playing MK1 at this bowling alley.. I was hooked forever.
The first fatality I ever performed was Sub-Zero's headrip.. followed by Toasty.
MK2 the first fatality was Johnny Cage's torso rip followed by Liu Kang's dragon.
MK3 it was Sektors compactor.. I can't recall the 2nd one I did.. lol.
Wasn't the first fatality for most of us Sub Zero's head rip in MK4? Then Scorpions spear in MK:DA?
For laughs it was Fulgore's transforming gunhead fatality for KI.. awesome.

I got into the mortal kombat games right when MKII came out. I was playing on a machine in this comic store my dad would always go to, and I did Mileena's Sai stab fatality. I can still remember it clearly - I was on the Kombat Tomb stage, now that I think of it. Anyway, I had just looked at a bunch of moves listed in a magazine, and F,B,F+LP looked really easy to me, so I figured I'd focus on that one next time I played. And sure enough, it paid off! Man was I stoked after I pulled that off...
Technically I believe I did Scorpion's fatality in MK1 beforehand, but that was on a friend's Game Gear so I won't even count that. You didn't even have to get in the right position on that version, just do the move anywhere and the character walks into place and kills the guy.
