Where did they get the "Run" animations for classic characters in MKT?

Like MK2 Raiden for example. Where did the animations for him to run? Why would he have the animations, but Mk2 Jax not have them? Were they planning on having running in Mk2, but didn't film all the characters?

Raiden and Baraka running is actually new animation. They filmed versus screen poses for them and running. Look at Raiden running closely and you can see it's not Carlos Pesina, the area around his face is all dark so you can't see who it is and his body type is different.
As for MK 1 Kano, MK 1 Raiden, MK II Jax and MK II Kung Lao....they probably just didn't feel like doing it for extra characters that would only be on some versions. Baraka and Raiden are on N64 too and are default characters.
I've always hated how Baraka and Raiden were their MK II versions just cut and pasted into MK3. They completely refilmed Cage(because they HAD to)...it would have been a lot better if they had been refilmed too. Like everyone got new outfits, a bunch of new moves, ect. but they're just their old MK II versions. Very cheap.

I really loved the animation for classic Raiden, Jax, Kung Lao, etc... They just made them walk really fast. It was pro programming by them lazy bastards at midway. It's like the upercut fatality that half of the characters had.
Midway programmer #1: I can't think of a fatality for this character.
Midway programmer #2: Just give him the upercut decap it's already there.
Midway programmer #1: Yah sounds good.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but fatalities like Jax's Giant fatality, and Kabal's UNmasked fatalties which make the character stand up and scream, were those new animations for the classic characters(MK1 Raiden, MK1 Kano, MKII Jax, MKII Kung Lao, MKII Rayden, and MKII Baraka)
