Well, Sonya has always been a top fighter in the games, extremely fast and powerful. So far the best fighting female of the game. For me it goes like this:
*** Mk1:
Sonya (obviously, only female there, but she was still the No1 fighter of this game, best character gameplay wise), the speed, sweep recovery and the leg grab made her invincible.
*** Mk2:
Mileena is no doubt the best, No1 character of this game. The speed is superb, exteremly powerful. Kitana is powerful as well, very good fan combinations, she was No 5.
*** Mk3:
Sindel (scream and combos!) and Sonya (speed and special moves!) are both extremely powerful. The best of the game. Sheeva (despite her damage) is terrible sadly, and so are the other female ninjas like Kitana, Mileena and Jade who are mid-low tier, not good.
*** Mk4/G:
Tanya and Sonya both kick ass, Tanya is the best gameplay wise, extremely fast and powerful combo attacks, but I can control Sonya easily and win the battles in no time. Sonya has some awesome combos and a load of special moves. I dont remember for MKG but I think Mileena was top-mid tier again and Kitana was very powerful.
*** MkDA:
There is just no doubt that Sonya can kick everyones ass in this game. One of the best characters overall in gameplay and the best female. Excellent return! Frost was **only** good because of her infinite, but when they took that out she went to be mid-low tier.
Li Mei is excellent for me, same with Nitara (most damaging combos of the game), but for some reason they are both mid tier, not as good as they seem. Kitana is the worst female of this game. Terrible.
*** MKD:
Mileena rules this game. Though not one of the top 5 best characters, she is still the best of the females. Li Mei is extremely fun and powerful but she is just mid again. Ashrah and Jade are also mid-powerful characters. Sindel, sadly, sucks in this game for some reason, but I can play very good with her, and I have loads of fun, she isnt great though. Tanya for me (like Jade), suck, hard to master (for me), i dont remember if Tanya is mid or low, but she isnt that great.
The worst is Kira, though she is very fun for me to use, still, the worst.
*** MKA:???
