i know that was your point, but you wre just incorrect. they dont amp it unless they have trouble hearing it in the game. the only thing they altered was the ptich im pretty good with audio programming, so i think i know what im taling about. all you gotta do is record your voice then change the pitch, and you would sound exactly like the mk announcer. all the fighters grunts and sounds are all the mk teams voices with the pitch down lower. depending on the situation, sometimes they ad an echo effect.
i got a pretty cool audio program.. you can import any mk sounds..raise the pitch, and hear the persons real voice before it was altered.

Ummm, no I wasn't incorrect. You're totally misunderstanding what I'm saying. They altered the voice to make it DEEPER via computer. With all due respect man, I want to break into this industry man with voiceovers.I've done my homework and anyone will tell you that MK 4, MK 5 and Deception and MK:A as well as it looks are all altered to make deeper to sound darker and more evil.A minor tweak is a tweak none the less and isn't the real person's voice man. This was already covered by others besides me with Quan-Chi's voice being altered and the announcer in MK 4.
Where in MK1, MK2 and MK 3/UMK3/MKT it's Steve Richie's voice NOT messed around with.I also have the special disc that shows this, too bad I can't show it on here to you.
And raising the pitch, echoes, altering the tune are all the same thing as changing/altering/messing around with the natural voice to begin with. Therefore it's NOT natural if it had computer effects added.

you are correct when you say they were altered.
however, you are incorrect about how you said they done it. you said "Quan-Chi's voice is made deeper with computers, it's amplified to sound deeper." and as i have said a few times already, it wasnt amped, they changed the pitch. amping only changes the volume of the sound. the pitch is what changes how deep or high the sound is. for someone who is trying to break in as a voice actor, id suggest you do a little more homework.
no one said it was the real persons voice. anyone with common sense can tell that when they play the game.
i know steves voice wasnt altered. i never said it was. you dont need to show me your "special disc" as anyone with a ps2 can watch the bonus mk3 footage of this on midway arcade treasures 2. i never said anything about natural voices what so ever. you kepts saying it was amped. i kept correcting you saying it wasnt, that it was the ptich. to put this bluntly so hopefully you can understand what im saying this time....
THEY RECORDED A VOICE TO USE FOR QUAN CHI. THEY THEN CHANGED THE PITCH OF THIS VOICE TO MAKE IT DEEPER.
understand now??

well it helps if you actually provided some evidence to prove your point instead of just saying "people think it's them, but it's really not" over and over again
also saying "lol" whenever somebody provides their evidence gets old real fast and is childish

I like the MK4/G announcer voice over Shao Kahn's. Notice how I'm not acknowledging him as "Quan Chi"... It's because whenever Quan Chi won the battle, the announcer never said "I Win", it said "Quan Chi Wins", as opposed to when Shao Kahn would win, he would occasionally say "I Win". Just because a similar voice was used for the announcer and for Quan Chi, it doesn't mean that Quan Chi was a ring announcer. The people just thought that the voice was cool and should be heard more often.

I explained myself like how many times now, and I only study this shit because I want to be a voiceover actor but yeah...scorpion can keep denying the fact that altering the tone, pitch or anything else with a voice via computer is still changing the VOICE from it's original state!!! lol
This guy is funny.I'm NOT talking about strickly amplifying the voice, I'm talking about messing around with it in general via computer at all.
And again as everyone else in here has seen myself post quite a few times, yet you're the only one scorpio that denies it.When you alter a voice, whether it's the tone, pitch or amp it.It doesn't matter, once you do ANY of these you're altering the NATURAL VOICE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!Do ou understand now?...

do you not know how to read? i never said anything about the tone or altering a tone. i didnt deny anything. geesh, learn how to read. all i said was that the pitch was changed. i never not once said "the voice isnt altered" or "its not changed from its original state".
once you do ANY of these you're altering the NATURAL VOICE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!! no shit numb nuts. anyone with any common sense knows this. please show me where i said that it didnt, and ill gladly kiss your ass. please, please show me where i deny anything..please! i mean shit, i even said you were correct about the voices being altered, but i guess that got lost in the space between your ears.

But maybe the reason why he didn't say "I win" is because he's a normal character, and it would be kind of weird for him to say that.

Umm, yes I can read you were the one who went off topic with the denying the fact that amplifying a voice is NOT changing it but in reality it is.Accept it already.THAT you did say, btw don't start flaming because you'll get the thread closed.Use your brain.
Quan-Chi's voice in MK 4 was cool, but not natural all I'm saying. If you deny this, then you need serious hearing lessons or a hearing aid.
