I agree, the (Z) (R1) button is so cheap where he does a low swing then a high one.

As everyone in here says there is no cheapest wepon or worst it's depending to each other, some may hang with raidens like me and others don't so it's depending on the characters you use the most or least.
For me the one I am not used to it's Sonyas and I know sh eis good but not for me.

As for the topic, I don't consider anyone's weapon to be 'cheap', there are weaknesses and strengths to almost all the weapons.

If anyone's weapons are cheap, they are Mavado's. Raiden's staff can be blocked or avoided, all it's moves are well telegraphed. Mavado's hookswords, on the other hand, are very deceptive with their high and low attacks and do mega damage. Just hooksword 3 is pretty much the cheapest weapon move in the game, but nothing is really that cheap that it can't be countered somehow.

Kitana. The fastest impale in the game and works at any distance. Her SM is pretty deceptive. And it has a 29% combo.

I think Mavados is very cheap. I just hate it when he traps me with them. Very fast indeed.

Kitanas weapon is good, but I dont think cheap.

Sonyas Kalis are very VERY powerful, if she manages to catch U...U are lost. And to use them is pretty easy.

1. Mavado - 3 and 2,4,4...mixup.
2. Raiden - If played right, his weapon is deadly.
3. Quan Chi - d+3 at mid-range is soooo abusable, it doesn't look like a low attack and recovers fast...mix it up with cs~1,1 jab game and he's lethal.
4. Drahmin - Iron Club is the stance to be in when playing Drahmin...way too many options and setups. b+2, Power Up then either b+3 or 4, they both do like 15-20% damage per hit.
5. Sonya - Up close, Kali Sticks are great...especially against a wall, d+3 is quick and knocks them into the wall. Then a tap up and your tracking them into mixup madness again.

Those are my opinion for top 5 cheap weapons.

Put it to you this way. You can see Raiden's special move in his Staff style a mile away, then just block low then high. Everything Raiden does with that big stick is telegraphed enough to see it coming.

If you get trapped against the wall against a competant Mavado player who knows how to use those hookswords, you may as well give up. 3 and his two combos that start with 2,4,4 mixed up are just about all Mavado needs if his opponent is trapped in the corner.

Well said pointer. I think the hookswords are one of the cheapest. Also, kali sticks r pretty cheap. One button press does like 5 hits!!

Yes and the mix of high/low attacks with Rayden's and Sonya's weapon gives you a really hard time trying to figure out which will be the next attack, so you can easily get caught blocking the wrong way. For example, with Sonya's Kali Sticks after a 2, 4 combo you don't know if it comes a b+3 (high attack) or a 3 (low attack), if it's 3, you just have a micro-second to duck and block... If you're blocking in the wrong position you'll get the damage

This is why Sonya's weapon is listed as #5 on my list, not higher. You can interrupt Sonya's 2,4 combos after the second hit whether she continues into 3, or stops after just 2,4...causing major damage. It's a little harder if she does 2,4,b+3...but if you blocked 2,4 already then she's toast if she continues into b+3. I usually just do 2, then if that hits do 3. It's only real good up against the wall so you are right in their face the whole time.

Well, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Quan Chi and Reptile have the best weapons...


But i'm not sure who has the worst for me... Maybe Frosts' Ice Daggers... I'm not sure. But I know I can't handle Frosts Daggers too well...

Quan Chi: His damn swords track really well. I can never side step them.
Raiden: His staff has such a long reach it's just hard to get close and acctually hit him while he pokes at you from a safe distance.
Mavado: Simply the power of his weapon stance can screw you sometimes. I remember fighting one of my friends having him down to almost nothing he did two hook sword combos and It became a very close match.

I think that all of the weapons are cheap. I think that people abuse the privledge of having a weapon. People will use a weapon just so they can win easily. This is a cheap trick to me. I think that if you have to use a weapon to win every match and you never take advantage of the multi fighting styles then you are truly missing out on some intese real ass whoppin.

I'd have to say Raiden. I mean come on, a big stick. He can kick your ass with is though.
