OK. In MK1 and MK2 Reptile protects Shang Tsung. In UMK3 Reptile followed Kahn's order to kill Kitana. In MK4 he joins Shinnok.

Now in the beggining of MKDA Reptile's still serving Shao Kahn. When he find the body of emperor he wandering for the Outworld in need of a master. Then he finds Nitara and give her allegiance.

Why Reptile always want to serve somebody? Why don't he acts alone?

Because being a hideous reptilian creature with no self "Intelligence" . He serves others to try to find a true perpose for his existence. He's just someone who can't really think for himself. He needs to be told to do stuff...If you know what I mean.

Reptile has so much potential yet the MK staff slap him in the face with the shittiest story. I mean, why the hell would you want to serve ANYONE?!?! Is Reptile fucking retarded? It would have been better if he just went after Shang for being a turncoat dickhole.

Yeah but I think that's why most Reptile fans love him without even knowing it. He's the one always being told what to do. The one being the follower, getting shitted on, etc. You can't help but like him for that because he's the underdog and we all love them. But now I think it's time he transforms into the Hulk and becomes his own man(?). They NEED to follow through with his ending. Seriously he's been a servant for 5 games and this won't really be a cheesy way to turn him into the main man. It's not like he sat in his swamp and said "I'm sick of being picked on! Enough is enough and it's time for a change!". No, he was transformed into the Dragon King without knowing it. That way when he's defeated in MK6, he'll go back to being normal and probably vanish away as a good guy or just join the good side. That's the way it should be IMO. I mean he's not even really a bad guy anymore amongst fans. Let the Dragon King, the baddest boss ever, be his last stand as a bad guy. He deserves it!

But he's so much more sad

To expand more what I said. The reason he'll lose MK6 as the Dragon King is because his inner self isn't used to being a leader. He couldn't handle the power the Dragon King possessed. Sound good? Probably not *eats cheetos*

I always wondered that too. Why does he want to be a servant? But after MK6 I hope he does come back as Reptile and not Dragon King and I hope he's neutral like Scorpion an des what he wants

I doubt he'll go to the good side since he wants revenge on Cyrax.

Really thanks guys.

I think that Reptile has a great past and will have a great future. Things in his past is undiscovered and his future maybe will be different after MKDA.

Hope that in MK6 he doesn't serve anybody. I think great the idea of Dragon King in Reptile body and the evolve thing.

Why care about people if they're not bloody and on your carpet right now?

OK, it's obvious why he wants to be a servant if you've seen everything in the Krypt. He's de-evolving and can't really do things for himself.

he was a general. so id disagree with the whole "please shit on me" idea. the reason why people liked him was because he was an invisible assassin (he threw the smoke bomb at his feet and disappeared in mk2, how more ninja can you get? and as one glance at any post in here will tell you, people love dem ninjas).

I think the writers chose to highlight Reptile's "servile" tendencies in MK:DA because of his significant transformation in his ending. He now IS the boss. It's a character arc. And I must say he has the best arc of the whole series. I'm very interested to see where it is heading.
