Yea mk1 is awesome! You cant say its bad, even if it is(which it isnt)you cant say that just because its the original, and a classic fighting game. But on topic,I would say mk3 just because it lacked gameplay and scorpion(which was a critical loss), but it had pretty decent graphics.

MK4 was/is the worst! The game was a poor try at a 3D world. The gameplay was waaaay too fast and the announcer's voice changed from being deep/scary to being proper/stupid. I can still play it, just because its MK...but i disliked it the most.

The home versions of MK4/Gold do no justice for MK4. Gotta play the arcade version. It really is an awesome arcade game and poops all over the home versions. As far as worst MK game goes, pick any version that isn't arcade. I can't stand any home MK game except MKDA.

It wasn't supposed to be a 3D game. It was supposed to be a game with 3D graphics that played essentially as a 2D game. And guess what? It worked and did a much better job at doing that than other fighting games at the time *cough*Street Fighter EX*cough* man I gotta get that cough looked at...

MK1 and MK Special forces. I liked MK3 a lot. So what if it didn't have Scorps. It had Subby and that was enough for me

I hear ya, MK home versions were less than great...but no matter how the graphics turned out or load times, NOTHING beat free at home kombat! And now those at home kombat games are online if ya fools r in the know.

But to say that MK Gold doesn't do MK4 justice is just wrong...it plays and feels exactly like it's arcade predecessor. I made an arcade joystick specifically for this game and it feels just like I'm at the arcade when I play.

First one by a long shot I have it for SNES and damn it there's no blood unlike Sega

I gotta disagree. The graphics look like plastic and you can count the tiles on the floor . Look at the shadows on the characters and they're just stick figures. There's no camera's going behind walls in the arcade version either and blood splatters on the screen. No losing ground textures when a character like Tonya goes into her pose.

I've been playing the arcade version a lot lately and it's hard to play MKG anymore. It just feels generic. There's never been an aracade port that's better than the arcade version. I wish they just ported MK4's arcade version to Dreamcast.

This has happened to me several times on the arcade version of MK4. And some graphical glitches are not something to be concerned about when you have 8 more characters with MKG

Hmmmm which stages and fatalities are we talkin' where the camera goes behind the walls? I'll have to check it out. More characters...bleh. I think UMK3 rapes MKT despite less characters. I'm a graphics whore hence me buying an Xbox just for the best version of MKDA . A month ago I would of agreed that more characters = teh kewler. The arcade versions just feel more complete if that makes sense. They're the originals and the better IMO.

arcade versions are the best, i have mk3 ultimate, and i always thought it wasnt very good, then on my vacation to california last week, we stopped at a McDonalds, and in the back is umk3,that was the sweetest mk experience ever...the graphics were sweet and the controlls even better, even tho i had trouble timing scorpions spear, i am not a arcade goer, dont have money to throw in a machine but, the 50 cents i spent in that mcdonalds was the best 50 cents ive ever invested, but back on the subject, my least favorite is the original mk3, its just missing alot... gameplay, plot, and sweet characters, game play for me witha sega 3 button controler.

The worst MK game in its history is that STUPID MK Special Forces game with Jax, bad graphics and more importantly VERY VERY bad gameplay.

I enjoyed Special Forces.

Mortal Kombat Advance was terrible, but thats just cause it was made wrong.

Since MK4 was fully developed by the MK team I would say it is the worst MK game, because they should have known better. Maximum Damage was a terrible terrible idea. The reusing of capture motions for pratically everyone in the game was heinous and weak. Not to mention the gameplay is just lacking as far as expandability.

Coupled with that are the graphics that did no justice to MK. I like that they tried for realistically proportioned 3D characters, I kind of dislike how cartoony they became in MKDA, but they just didn't get it right.

console wise, I have loved every MK fighting game that has come out. Handheld wise, I only own MK2 on game gear, I hate that game and I would never try another handheld MK game again. -_-

Special forces, I mean come on a game based on Jax, then mkda comes in second.

Worst MK game is anything having to do with MK3.

That includes MK3, Ultimate MK whatever, anything having to do with MK3.

They took a dark and evil game and turned it into an idiotic circus with uninspired characters, horrendously stupid fatalities, and other alities that weren't even animated well.

For MK and MKII, Midway did what they knew was awesome for the game. With MK3, it looked like they took suggestions from every stupid 9 year old on what they thought would be cool to have in the game...then they even executed it poorly.

MK4 at least brought back hope to the series by going back to basics and making it dark again. MK:DA was totally on the right track and they're almost back to MK perfection.
