The many rip off ninjas that looked the same (males and females).

In MK3/UMK3 I say Sheeva. In MKT I say Noob Saibot.

Sheeva and Sonya are definatly the least used characters.

Sonya=power. d+lk insanity.

Sonya gets a lot more play than you think Greg, she's got a powerful easy as hell 50% combo, and yes the ducking LKs are nearly impossible to stop if the Sonya player is skilled. She loses out to the highest characters but if played right you can't mess around, her run is especially fast.

The worst character in UMK3 is definitly Shang Tsung imho, if you dont get the time to morph its a hard time with him.

I personnaly even like Sheeva in UMK3, her Pop up Combo is easy to perform and can make close to 50% dmg easy and her standart autocombo has the highest damage in the game.

Her Jumpkick, standing high kick and uppercut are good too.
And even her stomp attack can be used sometimes (its perfect if someone turtle) and at last her fireball has a good hitrange.

Theres just something about kano i never liked him i dont know why he just seems annoying.

Exactly. Add the fact that her leg grab, wave punch and vertical bicycle kicks are very effective in gameplay. Powerful moves.

Kabal was impossible to play as for me, but I say ninja Smoke. he was just an easter egg

That's right, the Bike Kick is often not scouted, and it's a great psychology move and annoying, and the Leg grab is so fast and broken, anytime someone starts and autocombo and she's blocking, or various other moves they are screwed and Sonya is on offense again after doing 21% with a leg grab.

I like pretty much all of the characters from MK 3 and UMK3. I am trying to learn guys I haven't used in a long long time. But if I were to pick my worst, I would have to say that goes to Shang Tsung. I only know a few morphs and one basic combo with him. I am working on that though.

Its great to see people with true knowledge on tiers and gameplay like you post in this sort of threads. BTW, I have always been wondering, why is Sheeva so underrated gamplay wise?

She has amazing combos, but I guess there has to be something that makes her fall to other characters.

She has nice combos. She is a pretty big target though. I never found a lot of her moves overly redeeming either. Its kind close between her and Shang for the worst but for me she manages to get the win just because she is kinda big and clunky and vulnerable. At the same time, though, I believe that the level she falls on mainly matters with high level play, like at tournies. For the average gameplay I do, there is no reason not to use her, and I kinda enjoy playing as shang now too.

MK3 - Shang Tsung and Stryker - with Kung Lao close and maybe Liu Kang too...

UMK3 - Shang, Sheeva, Jade, Mileena - with Scorpion and Kitana pretty close too.

Yeah, the female ninjas in MKU/Trilogy suck so bad. Same with some of the male ninja characters.

But Jade is actually very powerful and fast, how can she be low tier? I know Kitana and Mileena are garbage in that game though.

Jade is a powerful character in MKT. The projectile protection has no startup, her green kick is very fast and very safe to use and her boomerang is a fun mind trick weapon. Overall I like her. If she had a popup it'd be all over but the shouting.
