5. Online ranking system
What a joke. You can have a loosing record and have a better ranking then someone that is 500-10.
4. Online slow down
Some charecters (Raiden and sometimes Jade) are not able to make it through full combos without being blocked at the end... simply not fair..
3. Death trap Stages are not consistant
Sometimes you can be right next to the death trap and your oponent wont go in when hit and other times you can be half a screen away and get knocked in...
2. Charecters should be able to do more things in the air
(ala old mk) , like throw projectiles, and special moves.
1. No Infinite combos..
They are stupid, unfair and take so much away from an otherwise great game...

what i think:
5: low cue graphics, yeah indeed mk:d does have a lot more in it then mk:da did, but it did'nt have to have lower graphics, hell, lots of games have had loads of shit in it and still had beautiful graphics (like syphon filter: the omega strain and tekken 5).
4: online play, online play sucks, i still say they should of never implemented it in this game.
3: konquest, it is alright, but it was porrly done, they should of taken they're time with the story and made it more cannon, and actually had they promise, where every mk character was going to be in it, and it should of had more of a cannon story, yeah, in points it has everything that should be knowned, but shit, they should of made the itmeline matched the current line... jax stays on a bridge for 100+ years yet can be walking in seido at the same time?
2: the fighting, yes i do like the engine, but they need to make it with more moves, and more selectibility, powerful moves are alright, but they should of made it where you can have, a very small, but still there, chance of escaping.

1. Overall fighting system mechanics: infinite combos should be removed, characters should be balanced and not broken or useless, more could be done with the fighting styles, more move properties, etc.
2. return of Tanya; she's the worst returning character in this game, imo. I despise her and I want her to die and never come back
3. addition of Kobra; he's cheap, pointless, and doesn't fit in MK

5: sujinko, with everyone else's moves, his age, and his over-all stupidy.
4: kobra, who looks more suited to deal with duke and shipwreak than to be in mortal kombat.
3: kira, the sonya clone with about as much apeal as hilary duff.
2: the return of bo chi cho: the puking, drinking, farting, old, fat, ugly waste of polygons.
1: konquest mode: where you must run around talking to morrons who cannot slove their own problems, where sindel and liu are hidden, where you don't actuly fight your opontents and where you have to play as an uninteresting bore with a very plain cothing style and over-all look and a presionaty as intresting as a toy from mc donald's, wross, he's the "big reward" for beating the game!

half of these remarks are dumb, who cares about arcade mode, its online the greatest thing ever. and it runs pretty damn smooth on xbox no lag, props to midway on that. its a 3-d game ( jump kicks important in 2d) needs more gametesting, fix the recovery , and lil things.. if thye make a patch it would be even better. MAKE A PATCH AND PUT IT IN WITH SHALION MONKS

Are you people serious.. How could anyone say that the online mode should have been left out of the game. Without online mode this game would be more usefull to me as a coaster.
Konquest gets old after you beat it and Playing the computer is about as much fun as watching paint dry.
The Online mode should be improved not eliminated. There are problems with this game, but it is still a great game.

1. Fighting Engine and Gameplay. Slow, broken, sloppy,shal low, and I don't think it will get any better. They need to create a new, deeper engine when MK hits the new systems.

AMEN to the pro-online mode comments. I would have played this bad boy through a few times then traded it in if it weren't for the fact I can hop online for a practically lag-free beatdown anytime I like (coming from a household in which I'm the only fighter fan).
Problems?
1. Yes, we all know - the glitches (which aren't the worst) and infinites (which are the worst).
2. Setting up an entire chess match with someone, then finding out they know infinites with every character they've chosen, and they plan to use them.
And if that's too related to #1 for ya, then how about people quitting when a chess match is almost over!? Compared to a 3-minute kombat match, that's pretty annoying, regardless of if you get a 'win' or not.
3. The game does not have a feature to produce large amounts of electricity through the XBOX/PS2 and into the bodies of people who quit in the middle of matches. (*ahem*... I mean '@sswhoopings')
4. The invite system is a little half-@ssed. When I get invited, either a) the invite doesn't show on my friends list, or b) I accept, and get the 'failed connection' message. On that point, being able to reject a challenge is hogwash too. If someone better came along at the arcades and wanted to play you, what would you have done - walk away from the machine!?
5. The game apparently has a magical charm that somehow convinces people that once they've mastered a whopping one or two characters, they can play thousands of games with those same characters over and over again, and then proceed to strut around, talking trash. There are a handful of people out there who can play with just about anyone, and play very well - those are the true masters of the game. When you beat people with one or two characters, you are only the master of those characters.

2. The fighting engine: needs looks of work. Tons of useless moves and fighting styles, non escapable throws, dial-a-combos.
3. Graphics: MKDA looked much better. Characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden have shitty textures on them; try comparing them to their DA versions. Also, Some character models like Noob Saibot, Kira, Nightwolf...look not so great.

konqrr, its mk therefore most people just dont get it.. people hear the name mk, and all there think about are the stupid points... not the important stuff. helll ive been playing 6months now, and i still only no 2 fatalitys and zero hara kira.... out of all these posts made, how many of these people are over 17 and hav been around playing since 92.
1) Fighting Engine-
Rehashed MK:DA engine which is in fact more broken than the original version could ever possibly be. This is all one big problem... no ground game, copycat styles, extremely limited options, INFINITES, gltichy combos, lack of throw escapes, 0% air game, overuse (or overkill) use of dial-up combos, over half of the moves in a style are useless and unsafe.
I felt the need to include that all in one big block, considering improving only one of those things while neglecting the others would basically be a waste of time, as it all needs to be fixed to make the game enjoyable from a fighting game standpoint.
2) Poor character roster-
This does affect replay value... in my opinion. Honestly, I enjoy the storyline of characters and it oftens influences who I become skilled at fighting with. I'm not sure what they were thinking... this roster didn't make me feel nostalgic, only like vomiting.

"A step down from MK:DA!"... that seems to be the motto of MK: Deception. Onaga isn't interesting and the removal of MK:DA style Konquest mode resulted in a lack of details for most characters.
