I liked pig's post, brought up a lot of good points.
Now my view, well if you pick a KAK vs a regular guy sorry but in my book that's lame and shows you can't play the game well with any character.
33 I'm not too fond of either personally and am not crazy about it.
FT's are nothing in this game, AC I can live with.
I feel that nobody should try to force their view onto others, no matter who they are.
Let everyone feel their own opinion because I know for fact not everyone on here feels the same way about what's legit and what's not.
I have my own reasons for not liking or liking certain things in MKA and nobody is going to change my mind about it either.
Later.

I think you can use your headset on the XBOX. Doesn't it have a USB port like the PS2?

100% fact now, the sides do not match up, not even close. to the point where one side has a good 10 frame adv, and the distances are not even close.
what i will post in the next couple of days is ur so called skill factor.

Red, I'd like to know how the game mechanic works online. You should create a technical online thread and post a bunch of information dealing with the games findings from people like you, check, etc. Unless there already is one.

i reviewed our matches and it is infact that you do have lag advantige over me . non the less its irrelavant to me . i dont base my game on that and thats what makes me the player i am .
ok moving on >
it doesnt matter the player i pick , i adapt to your patterns then i execute . i notice you get exited and start to bounce with jareck get the rope out get the axe out . and all im doing is walking up to you backing up walking around you , at the end of the fight all i had to do was time your bounce for any hit fire or whatever to kill you .
remember this was Jarek vs Taven
i really wish you were able to see the first match . you have to see the things i did with rain to beat your sareena .
as ive sayd before i dont use chamelion and if i ever do use him im not trying . but if i have to win with him i will .
i could show you so many things but as ive sayd before i dont have a mic , it would make things so much easyer .
btw
this brings me down to the games with puff
10 - 3 = our first encounter
10 - 6 = our second encounter nicely executed , i read your patterns and > executed
10 - 1 = this was the outcome
10 - 9 = i wasnt trying buddy sorry . i dont know if you noticed , i was picking scorp sub reptile rain and on and on . i was going through the whole roster since i had just woke up . i really hate to take this from you but this is the only way youll get better . > im also gonna post some more technical stuff in eazy's thread to help you guys out . i know you say you like being agressive because taking your time is boring , but this only shows me how little you are understanding me . wich is one of the reasons i really want a mic . that wasnt what i was talking about . you have to analyze what you are doing every game . you have a pattern . you have to swich it up . > dont worry ill explain this in eazy's thread .
3 - 0 = i really was looking forward for a series to 10 to bad we disconected . > also if you noticed i wasnt using my best . and i wasnt gonna use them , like mesofly i wanted to show you guys what i ment . In my opinion you guys are so close from jumping to the next level . you guys just need to review a couple of things and understand them better .
as you guys can see im on a computer right now and im able to ^ write more then on my psp .
imo mesofly your at the top of your game right now , you just need a little more , you need to change it up more , but your getting there.
^ i really hope this helps you guys . im gonna post some more helpfull hints and facts . and i was gonna post our vids but my camera ran out of battery , hopefully tomorro i get new ones . well thats all for now , ight peace

if you look down upon using some of these characters, why? if you encourage it, why? does it help or harm your game?"
personally, i find it a challenge crushing guys like tmgunner and AblaaaKirblaaaa when they use bosses. it just shows them that they are not almighty and what they can accomplish with the rest of the cast.

It gets to me though...I hate when some one uses any BOSS character. MOB or goro and kintaro.
You never see goro or kintaro though...just MOB.
A noob i don't mind because i will enlighten them but like aaablaakirblaaaa does regular characters...loses...picks blaze to catchup...so on...I HATE IT!
Today i played him anyway and showed him was up though.

many ppl are considered scrubs because of this . well the thing is that mob carachters cant be grabed or harmed by projectile and are looked down on otherwords banned from gameplay .
shao kahn on the other hand can be grabbed and has two stance , he is considered mid tier at best . motaro doesnt have any of these , but can be grabbed and hit by projectiles . these two are considered regular carachters .
as for goro and kintaro , i dont see these carachters as mob but i agree with taking em out of gameplay because of the no grab fact .
theres ppl who actually use these for fun and if thats all therere is to it then you cant do anything about it .
now for those of us who understand the game know that the only way to exel and actually be considered good is to use regulars .
for the rest = they eather dont care , or if they do , should know about this , im shure if theyr mission is to become good then they will follow the righteous path .
thats my imput on this . later .

Shao Kahn/ Motaro - I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with anyone using these characters. Grabs, projectiles, pop-ups, etc. all work on them
Kintaro/Goro - I wouldnt mind people using them if they picked first to let me know that I need to pick one as well. They seem to be worse than shao kahn and motaro (because of the no grab, no pop ups) but less harsh than the upper 3 bosses.
Moloch/Onaga/Blaze - Again, I dont mind if someone wants to use these guys under the condition that they at least pick first and give me a chance to counter them.
Only problem I have with people using bosses (shao kahn and motaro excluded) is when (example) they pick smoke, I pick my character, then they quick run to Blaze. Even though in the wrong hands these bosses can be dealt with fairly easily, in the right hands they can be overpowered and unfair.

A lot of people are intimidated by Shao Khan. Fast recovery from his dial up combo if blocked and great pokes. Not to mention his best feature is his double throw ability. SERIOUSLY, get next to someone na d just tap the hell out of the throw button and you will win, it's awesome. You can train your opposition to think it's coming all the time and do 50/50. He's a lot of fun.
Kahn and Mo are REGS.
i like using Kintaro and Goro. they dont have any over powering attacks. true they cant be thrown or juggled, but they have that stupid block delay they can be easily beaten by any character. so i consider them as regs. i use Goro more so then Kintaro. Kintaro get better vs MOB. Goro gets worse vs MOB.
MOB on the other hand are over powering w/ super safe Attacks, Free throws and Blazes fire that tracks and his low poke that kinda stuns. Moloch and his broken Slam move that hits folks that jump and parry.
other stuff as well.
MOB not kool.
Kintaro, Kahn, Goro and Motaro ~ Legit.

"ROSTER SIZE. when i started playing Deception on a more serious level (wasn't at the boards yet), i noticed that most of everyone i played were good with maybe 2 or 3 characters. maybe a few more. it wasn't until i played 2 guys that really impressed me that would crush me beyond belief without ever picking a character a second time. the guys I'm talking about were Asmodeus MK O and Alexei09. i would just watch in amazement as they would just keep picking what seemed to be random characters, I would always wait to see when they would repeat, and i could easily get crushed 10-15 times or more with no repeated characters. I started to model myself after that, and i noticed that there was a whole new dynamic to games with guys like these, it's like it's not just about winning, but seeing who backs out of the challenge of leaving behind their 'sure fire' characters and taking a risk with someone who they might not be as good with (or they might still be awesome with, that's the thing that made it interesting- how long could one go without losing performance levels?). from then on i made that challenge to myself, and i've noticed that a bunch of players here have begun to do the same.

In my search to become a great player i went through changes in the way i thought . alot of times when i try and help ppl i give them examples of how to become better but i mostly give them examples of what i went through to get to were i am .
back in mkd days i wasnt on the boards till the last months of mkd .
indeed i knew the whole roster but i wasnt good and i got defeated by a large margin many times . WHY ?
because a vast number of roster selection has nothing to do with competition . ones mentality as a player gives the carachter the notion to win .
once you get to this level of gaming you can easily understand how to win with a carachter .
ive given ppl examples of it and proved it .
i usually play to win when im in a situation were i feel i have to win .
ive played ppl who have asked me " do you only use those carachters ? " well no , and ive shown my abilities to use every carachter in the game . i sayd i dont use chamelion yet when it comes down to the point were i have to win with him i will .
i use my best for ether = clan wars , serious fights , tournaments and so on . . . or any time i feel that i shouldnt loose .
if you ask me to choose different ppl i have no hard feelings against it , it doesnt bother me to random because i can use everybody , but if you cant beat my best it shows were one stands .
now back before i was on the boards i lost even though i used everybody , this was because i wasnt as good as the next person .
ive beaten many ppl using different carachters scores down to 10 - 1 and 10 - 0 . the problem here is that these ppl arent as good .
indeed a vast roster of carachters makes things interesting sometimes , but there is times when i get bored of it . i find a higher level of competition is more fun . specially when a good scorpion fights against my sareena . i dont like mirrors . . . . . . . . .
i can succesfully choose every carachter but ive gotten to the point were i feel thats not the best description of competition . dont get me wrong though i do enjoy using different ppl .
just understand that competition comes from fighting ppl like DAVE's Dairou ! and so on . . . . not that we cant use others but choose to stick with a smaller roster for serious games .
i have chosen a vast majority of carachters before in serious matches but i feel that it doesnt show a players true potential , only a players abilty to use more carachters than the other player .
thats my input for this one . Peace .

Most of the people I've played on both the XBOX and PS2 PAL with full or over 30 roster capability all have one thing in common. They are damn good at the game.
I think the fact that having knowledge of a character helps you understand how to defend against that character. So if you're an awesome Kira player, you automatically know how to defend against her attacks. You know the high, low and mid moves. However, if you have no knowledge of how a character's dynamic works, then you're bound to fail in defending against it. Which is why we all have problem playing again KAKs. Because you can't pick out a pattern in the attacks because they're constantly being modified by KAK users.
My definition of an elite has always included roster consideration. If you're only good with 2 characters, while I would say you're skilled, I wouldn't class you as an elite. Elite at MKA = subject matters at MKA. Therefore nothing fazes you. You could go random and still kick ass. You have full understanding of all the characters inside out. That's the level I find inspiring.

I know everyone has their own rule of "legit" and not but I still say that even Kintaro, Goro are bad not nearly as bad as MOB but still....Goro and Kint can't be thrown yet they can throw you =lame
