A question about the Prision Stage.

maybe the prison stage has nothing to do with the storyline. maybe it is an unlockable stage paying tribute to some of the fallen warriors. if not, i too would like an explanation of how fujin could be contained like that!!!

ahh that old chestnut
I like them there it's another great addition to the current arenas.
I think that the Prison Stage is a monument to all of the characters that we will not be able to play as. I also think it could be a possible way to bring back all of the characters from the previous games that we have all played.
In Mortal Kombat II there was a stage that had both Sonya and Kano in the backround. We were not able to play as them in Mortal Kombat II but we knew why they were there and why they were not playable. I think Mortal Kombat is repeating itself by re-creating a similar story concept which will go in detail on why the specific characters in the Prison Stage are there in the first place.

The people there doesn't have anything to do with the storyline they are there most likely just to show the people that won't be in it or just for fun.
i would agree with all of you except for the fact that jade has been seen in the prison with an updated look! so that thoery is out the window people! but i think only a couple of people in the prison stage will be playable! more then likely it will be jade, fujin, and kitana! below is the pic of jade in prison with updated look! and fujin also looks different to me!
